Which one do you like better?

I'm thinking about picking up Heavy Rain before I play Uncharted 3.

Walking Dead was on the whole excellent. Great writing and characters.

Story, character development and voice acting is better on TWD(imo), but HR has much better gameplay.

HR is quite cheap nowadays, I'd say go for it.

Mientras siga viendo tu cara en la cara de la luna,
    mientras siga escuchando tu voz,
entre las olas entre la espuma.
Mientras tenga que cambiar la radio de estacion,
porque cada cancion me hable,de ti,
    de ti,me hable de ti.

    Booooooo
No thoughts on Heavy Rain though I am sure it was good (Indigo Prophecy which is by the same developer was good though)

    TWD was awesome.

TC try the first episode (its pretty cheap).

I like the TWD a little better, but Heavy Rain is great, if you like that style of gameplay. You can probably get it pretty cheap, too.

Heavy Rain has some of the most over-rated storytelling and downright terrible writing in a videogame acclaimed for it's narrative.

    The Walking Dead does not.

Which is one reason why it's leagues ahead.

That's a really tough choice. The Walking Dead actually ties up all it's loose ends though....

Both are great games, if you liked TWD you should definitely try Heavy Rain.

I hope you like plot holes and confoundingly poorly written characters man. Hell, it's worth playing it just for its uncompromising vision, and its problems alone in a sense; to get a good understanding how fantastic it can be at times, and downright bad. There's nothing quite like it in that regard.

Hell if you do play it, there's a wonderfully comprehensive and sometimes scathing piece about it, which dives into David Cage's past work and words too. http://www.gamecritics.com/daniel-weissenberger/heavy-rain-is-in-many-ways-not-well-written-part-1. Hell, I still like Nomad Soul.

What always cracked me up was how the Lead Designer of Heavy Rain was so full of himself. Acting like he was the Chosen One of the industry and people that didn't like his game were just lowly peasents...

Cow Logic: I don't mind if Sony puts in in-game ads, as long as they are free. But you have to buy the game.....Anyone can argue with a Cow. All that's needed is a Masters Degree in Child Psychology

Yeah he can sound pretty full of himself and egotistical, his GDC stuff has been just hard to watch or read at times if you don't appreciate people patting themselves on the back, and completely ignoring any criticism. But you've got to give the guy full credit, he has a vision and he goes for it with full authorship, and there's not many developers who really have the ego, gall, or balls - whatever it may be, to go for it (like Kojima for instance, comparatively).

    Heavy Rain has nice graphics.

The Walking Dead has literally everything else in its favour. Well, except unskippable cutscenes and some questionable checkpoints.

Walking Dead. Heavy Rain had high production value, but it failed to deliver on the story the way the producer hyped that it would. The Walking Dead had low production values but the storytelling was some of the best I've ever seen in a game, and it beat me up emotionally. That is something that is quite rare to come across in such a good way.

Heavy Rain by leagues and MILES. Its my favorite game this gen, and I would say the most underrated game this gen.

WD had forced interaction, you could only do things through set up scenarios and only three real choices; A, B,C. HR used the mystery of the origami killer to create a branch of interactive possibilities. Plus the story (minus walking dead episode 4 and5) was way more consistent.

I've never played Heavy Rain, so I cannot give a proper opinion. The Walking Dead on the otherhand is a fantastic point-and-click adventure that's done a great job of reviving a dead genre of video gaming. The Walking Dead may not be the most visually attractive, nor the fastest game out there but it has a great story. The only thing negative I can say is if you're not a fan of The Walking Dead franchise then you may simply "not get it." Believe it or not, video games like The Walking Dead were extremely popular in the 90's. It's unfortunate that most of System Wars is so young and will never comprehend what The Walking Dead tries to accomplish

    Next Gen: PC/PS4/Wii U

NOW PLAYING: CoD: Black Ops II, Ni no Kuni, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Pokemon HeartGold
