So the sale is almost at it's end (it end's on the 5th), and I know I have bought at least 15 games or sofor about 30$, and they are all fantastic. What has everyone been buying?

Just three for me this year -- Hearthfire and Dawnguard for Skyrim, and FTL: Faster Than Light.

I've tried not to buy much at all this year. I still have games from the last two xmas sales that I haven't played yet.

All I got is the Witcher 2. There were a couple others I wanted such as Far Cry 3, CS:GO, Rage, but I never got around to getting them. I have too many other games to play.

I bought some old games I have on discs again so that I don't have to worry about losing them or anything. I purchased Thief Gold and the Max Payne bundle. They were very cheap so it was okay. Just a few dollars each. Nutcrackr is playing Thief Gold at the moment and enjoying it - its giving me the urge to try Thief again lol.

Im not saying those arent great games. Im saying they just didnt have the impact on gaming like console games in comparison. Halo pretty much kickstarted the FPS genre.

I bought Anno 2070 + DLC (great game!), War for Cybertron, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, 3d Mark Vantage, and DLC for Total War Shogun 2. I have the physical version of Company of Heroes and Crysis but bought them again since they were so cheap.

I was going to buy Borderlands 2 when it was on sale, but glad I waited...got it $9 cheaper on GMG. Also got better deals on Amazon, ended up with nothing from Steam, very dissapointed in this years sale from them.

Not all were from Steam. Some were from Amazon.com. I'd say Amazon.com and Gamefly.com were the best go-to digital services this winter sale.

I bought more from Amazon and other various services than I did from the Steam sale this year. The competition simply had better much deals.

    Steam:

    • Mark of the Ninja (gifted from Masterx1220)

    Amazon:

    • Scribblenauts Unlimited, 2 copies for my cousins ($7.49 each)
    • Spec Ops: The Line ($2.49 with $5 discount)

Came with my video card from Newegg:

    • Hitman: Absolution
    • Far Cry 3

Games I kinda wanted to get but didn't:

    • Max Payne 3 (from Amazon, $10 after discount)
    • M&B Collection (Steam, $8.75?)
    • Sleeping Dogs (GMG, about $11 with coupon)
    • Batman: AC GOTY ($5 from some place, can't remember where)

My HDD has 40GB left, so there was no point of getting new games until I get a new one. I'll take the risk that the ones I wanted will be even cheaper during the summer sales. Of course, sales aren't over yet... I might still cave.

Then there's a few like Borderlands 2 and Skyrim that I do want, but didn't go down low enough for me to consider buying.
