I'm new to club Nintendo, and just got a 3DS XL (which is awesome by the way). I see that the game offer rewards expire on Jan 6. Does that mean that there will be other games availabe after that? Not really intrested in Metroid II or Twin Bee.

Yes, new games will be available after Jan 6.
So if you don't like any of the game rewards available, just wait until that date.

It's best not to waste your rewards on stuff you can normally buy

If you want a game go buy it with actual money, considering that Metroid is 150 coins that means you'd have to register 130-150 dollars worth of games just to get that amount.
