It makes no sense that you'll be waiting an eternity to wait for your pal's summon sign to appear, but in a microfraction of a second you can be invaded. There server and summon system are horrible and I hope both are upgraded/overhauled for the sequel because this "fan" of the series here is jumping ship. Nothing more than something horrible out of your control to ruin the game's experience.

My only issue and what keeps me from playing in human form are the lag stabs.

A real fan would at least have some understanding of how the multiplayer works...

Now Playing-DOTA 2, Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed Liberation.

2.2 million of us are better than you.

Then you would be aware of the fact that the game doesn't want you to summon your friends and this stupid thread wouldn't exist. Do you not think that if they wanted friends to play together they (the game developers) would make it easier to do so?

If the purpose is to NOT have you play with someone, then why have it as a feature? I don't get where you're coming from. What I'm talking about is when you can have 3-10 straight "Summon Failed" message, and at the same time be invaded 4-5 straight times. Even a "double invasion" thrown in in fact.

It would be a good idea to implore an "invite" system like COD.

Are you implying that they purposefully made the summon system bad and make it so you constantly get the "Summon failed" message to make the game harder? That's a pretty stupid point to try to make. They obviously made the game to be very difficult and challenging, but I don't think they went as far as to purposefully give you connection problems with summoning, but not with invasions. That's just a slap in the face to the players. If they really wanted to somehow limit your summoning, they would just use a normal, non-conspiracy approach, like a simple perishable item that lets you summon so you can't do it all you want. Doesn't that seem a little more likely than pretending that your connection dropped, or actually somehow giving you a bad connection on purpose? Think about it.

No, I'm implying that they made it difficult to summong YOUR FRIENDS because they don't want you to summon YOUR FRIENDS as the world they've created is a lonesome one. They want you to summon random players and be summoned by random players (similar to Journey) as it fits in perfectly with the theme of Dark Soul. I made no implication regarding the actual internet infrastructure of the summoning system nor did I put forward any conspiracy.

Me and my friend had this problem before too. Usually we remedy it by simply spamming the summon stone. But remember to make sure that one of you is "alive" in the game.

I know for a fact, that it wasn't this hard to play with your friends in Demon's Souls. But I suppose it's more geared towards a single player experience.
