"You Either Die A Hero, Or You Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become The Villian......."
I know this topic has been done a million times but I feel like discussing it again without reviving an old thread.
I personally enjoyed Skyrim more then I am enjoying Fallout 3... It just kept my attention longer.

They're both good but Skyrim's leveling system as well as the innovative dual wielding system can't be beat. Fallout 3 is older though. Both games have amazing environments.

I can't stand NV only because it froze every loading screen I gave up on NV a long time ago.

- Dec 18, 2012 10:28 am GMTNeither is the best in their respective series, so that gets my vote. As for which is better...I probably preferred Skyrim, but only because a terribly buggy game is more fun than a terribly buggy game that crashes every half-hour.

breaking it down, they both have similar mechanics and skyrim does the action element better, but i like fallout 3 more for it's world. the tutorial sequence is one of my favorite moments this generation and i found myself just as interested in meeting the people of the capital wasteland as i was in exploring my builds. more generally, i think bethesda's engines do a better job of making small lumps of humanity carrying on than they do of depicting vast empires.
Neither. Fallout NV
Agreed. Skyrim's leveling system is just way too damn streamlined for my liking. Still a great game though, put in about 90 hours so far and will probably make another character soon.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

While I think Skyrim is a (I daresay) "polished" Bethesda game, I like Fallout 3 better. I prefer post-apocalyptic scenarios rather than a medieval fantasy type.

- DEFENDING THE WORLD AGAINST YOUR WRONG OPINIONSFallout NV had a better narrative. Skyrim's open environment was the best. I preferred the game mechanics of FO3 the best The guns just felt real and powerful- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Both of them are pretty dang awful.
But I suppose that Skyrim is the more tolerable of the two. At least Skyrim didnt mess up another developer's lore.

I probably have over 300 hours on skyrim on xbox, and I'm not even finished with it, while I have 100 hours completing every non dlc quest on fallout 3. So skyrim gets my vote, but I like New Vegas is better than Fallout 3.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
- Dec 18, 2012 2:21 pm GMTi really love fallout 3.. I remember the first time a friend of mine brought that here..I was blown away.. I have lost count on how many hours i have in that game...Skyrim is cool i have a friend that swears by that game.. i cant get into though. for me anyways i felt swamped by all the side quests and stuff. both great games but fallout 3 gets my vote by far...

I just started playing Fallout 3 and I am loving it. I did put more hours into Skyrim but I enjoy both equally. I will say, I do enjoy Fallout 3 more than I enjoyed Fallout:New Vegas.

- I like both games very much, and there are some things I enjoyed more about Skyrim, but overall Fallout 3's world and setting and whatnot along with the entire Fallout world in general interests me much more, so I give the edge to Fallout 3.

Fallout 1 and 2 if you actually care for role-playing. NV if you have the mental capacity of a child. And any Bethesda game if you're impressed by sheer size and numbers, and care not for quality.
