System Wars is a one of a kind destination where gamers can discuss, rant, and debate about systems, platforms, handhelds and the games. Not many people survive System Wars. The mightiest system warriors back up their arguments with facts.

PS3/Vita The Metagame
- Has there been any established rules on whether or not PS3/Vita games will be exclusive? Since you can play Battle Royale, Sly 4 and other games on multiple platforms does that mean they aren't exclusive? Cows used to laugh at the term Micrsoft Exclusive but now Sony seems to be doing the same thing. What's everyone's thoughts on the matter? In the real work this crap doesn't matter, but for System Wars and the Metagame it does.

I answered this in the other thread in regards to Sly 4, but yeah, they're multiplats. The cross-buy titles are just like any other multiplats (aside from getting it for free, but you get what I'm saying).

Yes. Exclusives are just that, exclusives. I think a case can be made for games which differ enough from other versions to the point they feel like different games, but the point of cross-buy games is platform parity so that doesn't apply here.

Maybe an asterisk.
For silly argument sakes, if sony continues offering games on both Ps3 and vita, the Ps3 will just turn into a worthless console following the metagame standards. It the same way as Mass Effect, Metro 2033, and the first Gears. they might have not been exclusive, but it certainly made the system stronger and gave it an advantnge over the systems that did not have those games.
The problem comes down to the fact that PS3 and vita might get a game like Sly 4, but instead of it being a good thing, it turns into almost a negative becasue that game is a multiplat. This is the sad truth in the way we judge games in the metagame. Plus the fact that the metagame has been severly flawed this entire generation.
