Given that the Momiji patch was just released this week, my uneducated guess would be that Nintendo/Team Ninja are waiting for at least Christmas week to unleash the Kasumi patch. Given that only a handful of screenshots have been released so far, it wouldn't surprise me if they waited until next year.

Interesting that Team Ninja is giving Razor's Edge two free characters, though. The original NG3 also had free DLC for a moment, but not quite to this extent, and the same goes with DOA5, which DLC has actually rubbed some fans the wrong way in terms of content and pricing. I must say, though, although I feel that Momiji and Ayane probably should have playable in NG3 to begin with, I do think this is pretty cool.

Funny that you would say that, since I've always seen Momiji as Ninja Gaiden's Kasumi to begin with. She has a similar relationship with Ryu, and her design isn't radically different from Kasumi's, although she has a very different role as a shrine maiden, in contrast to Kasumi being a runaway ninja. That said, I've been a huge fan of Momiji since Dragon Sword for the DS, and she was really fun to play with in Sigma 2. I'm pleased that TN has at least given her another chance to shine in Razor's Edge, even though she will probably get overshadowed at times by Dead or Alive's main shinobi siblings.
