you guys do realize that around 1/3 of the population in Saudi is foreign? and that English is widely spoken there in the Larger cities? I'd pick Saudi in a heart beat, they got cheap Gas, almost no customs on imports, extremely low taxes, and fantastic infrastructure. Down sides are- most women wear the Nikab. They all look like dementors. That and I can't understand the Saudi dialect of Arabic and am pretty bad at standard Arabic probably would stick with English. religious police would suck and so much of the whabbism is bull but it beats N. Korea by light years.

Saying the religious police suck is an understatement.

North Korea has a huge poverty rate and Saudi Arabia is a theocracy which kills people for being different. If you're an insane Muslim male I'm sure it's a great place to live.

I can't understand why people think it's so bad. It's a wealthy nation and unless you are a radical trying to change their ways you will be fine. N. Korea on the other hand has massive poverty and is communist. Womens rights and other issues Saudi may have are the least of their worries.

    can't . I don't speak yiddish , couldn't pass for one.

funny part is that the name Neturei Karta actually means guardians of the city (I will let you guess which city)

back to point though , I think the Saudis did let Henry Kissinger into Saudia , but I think that was an exception to the rule, not too smart to tell the US secretary of state "can't come to our country, youre a Jew".

Yeah apart from the crazy ideological differences, day-to-day life doesn't seem all that bad. I found it quite comfortable there and rather enjoyed it. I often saw women outside (without a man :shock, horror and as far as I could tell there were no non-muslims being imprisoned or beheaded - I still have mine.

and Im not sure Hamas knows who they are parading around , I mean , they don't even hide it., nor do they agree to it because they care about rights and such.
