The Phantom Pain | Hideo Kojima's Project OGRE?
- Dec 7, 2012 9:25 pm GMT

this game looks sick and the term phantom pain is actually a real term of soldiers who lost limbs who feels still pain from their amputeted limbs or something along the lines.
And it looks like a psychological thriller from Kojima starring The Pain from MGS3?
yea-in basic terms: it's pain from a body part you no longer have. - Dec 7, 2012 9:40 pm GMT
... i watched the trailer. i'm offended by the fact that there was even doubt that this was a MGS title. i mean, the trailer ends with f*cking psycho mantis showing up. in fact, i bet that disfigured dude wearing bandages all over his face is psycho mantis. just think back to mantis' backstory, it should be pretty obvious. - Dec 7, 2012 9:41 pm GMT
Just watched the trailer and come on. As if there was any doubt this was a new MGS game or Kojima. the whole thing reeks of him and the dude is so clearly big boss. The fiery hallway dude seems like Volgin afterall, I thought the screenshot was the protagonist at first.
My guess is GZ is the lead up to MGS V both playing as Big Boss after MGS3

i'll just leave this here, if anyone still has any doubts it's psycho mantis helping amputee big boss: "Psycho Mantis was born in a small Russian village before the collapse of the Soviet Union. His mother died giving birth to him, which made his father resent and hate him. He discovered his powers and his father's true emotions one day while accidentally reading his mind. He wondered if his father would kill him, and the shock of this revelation awoke his subconscious. He used his telekinetic powers to burn down the village that he lived in, killing all residents. This release of psychic energy caused severe burns across his body, particularly his face." - Dec 7, 2012 9:47 pm GMT
I kept thinking to myself how sh*tty the trailer was. I was like, how can anyone think this was a good idea? Knowing the story behind it is crazy though. Love me some MGS, thank you Kojima. - Dec 7, 2012 10:31 pm GMT

No doubt that the guy in the trailer is Big Boss, but what I don't get is Big Boss never lost his left hand unless in MGS 4 he has a prosthetic hand since he's wearing gloves.
Also the Moby Dick "team" is most likely just a reference on someone being Moby Dick (my guess Big Boss) and someone is Captain Ahab in search/destroy the great white whale (Big Boss).
My guess the guy with him is Gray Fox, might be him wounded after fighting Solid Snake, dunno how far the gap between MGS GZ and MGS 5 will be.
