I have a GTX 570 and I set the graphical options to max except MSAA(This kills my fps somehow) and I recieve about 50fps. I use a gtx 570 btw

Go to my documents/my games/far cry 3 and open "gamerprofile.xml" using notepad. Change SSAOlevel="4" (it's probably at 4, if you chose max settings) to SSAOlevel="0", and change MSAAlevel="0" to MSAAlevel="4". The SSAO looks like ass and kills performance. Changing those will get rid of that weird black glow around characters and objects, and, losing the SSAO will boost your framerate enough to put the MSAA up to 4, and get similar performance to what you're getting now.

What is love? Baby, don't hurt me. Don't hurt me. No more.

Word. Either way, it looks better at 0.

Console, however upgrade that GPU then PC

Why? He could run it at high at 1080p with No AA, hell even medium No AA 1080p is still better than consoels, plus you get higher possible framerates and mouse aiming. It's not all about MAXED OUT graphics.

Just pre-ordered the deluxe edition on Steam.. PC it is. I don't really have enough space or long enough HDMI cables right now to hook her up to the HDTV, plus, no supported cables for the old reviever. Gotta be optical, or coax. PC naturally doesn't support ether. Usually only run my games at 1280x800 cause my monitor is on a weird 16:10 aspect ratio and stretches video to fit rather than formatting it properly. I'll probubly grab the PS3 version eventually for it's side benefets.

Thanks for the imput, and Merry Birthmas to all.

PC supports optical, I'm using it right now.
