    ...Yeah.

I think I might've made the castle a little too big, but it's progressing slowly but surely, with the little time that I have.

Yesterday was the first time I have actually got to sit down at a computer and play a video game because I have so little free time. Hopefully Christmas will be better, with the Christmas money, sales, and free time to play some damn games. There's a lot of newer titles that I've been wanting to get, like Chivalry, Far Cry 3, Max Payne 3, Assassin's Creed 3 and Dishonored. Might also nab Battlefield 3 if I have any spare money; I'm probably getting a new video card for christmas and kind of want a high end graphical game to showcase it a little bit.

Man, farcry 3's graphics sure do look like crap

    Oh fvck off.

Do you want me to rate your castle in a FC3 thread? It looks pretty average

Yeah sorry about that. Was reading the other thread and then I went and opened this thread and I posted still thinking it was the picture thread. Was a complete accident. Woops.

Anyway, yeah I think I made it a little too big. Just posted it to see what other people thought as well as for the purpose of what was supposed to be the picture thread. Oh well. Hope there's no hard feelings.

Mad game Far Cry 3, but needs tweaks to run well, especially with the DirectX 11 stutter issue, but fixable.

Check out my fixes, results and optimisations here... http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3021861

Some pics, same spot, different times of day... in DirectX 9

For the most part yep. Its a pretty poor dx11 implementation.

Im playing on hard and the hud is all still intact. No idea what that guy was on or what he was smoking. Ive been searching everyday for news of hud removal or alterations but alas, no one has modded such a thing yet. The answer to all your questions is no. Sorry.

ah well, thanks for the reply :]
I'll have to keep looking around as well!

Checked if anything new came up today. Found this article.
I guess there's at least some way to shut off the whole HUD now. I'm not sure how safe / reliable it is to do though, and I'm not sure how having absolutely no HUD will affect being able to play the game.

I'd like to have some kind of map (not sure if there's a big map button o; ), ammo counters, and maybe a health bar, but I might take this over enemy awareness arrows and stuff (:

    edit: fixed link

HUD REMOVED? There is one here... http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3023873

It works very well, removes prompts and animations too... totally hardcore yeah... But for some reason it corrupts my screen when I pull out my Bow in some areas of the map!? That's all I've seen so far. DX9 and DX11 versions.

found this link in the thread that Zeussa linked: More ways to remove the HUD -- forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/734046-Mods-for-Far-Cry-3

these ones are more specific and remove things like wallhacks and enemy icons on the minimap, but leave the minimap (and I guess things like quick-time promps).

    ;D so nice
no mention on the enemy detection arrows, but I feel like it'll be soon!

    Im playing at 1920x1200 medium settings with a 4870 1GB (not OC) 3570k ( not overclocked )
    Asrock Extreme 6
    16GB DDR3 Corsair 1600 ( not overclocked )

If i can play at that resolution and settings with that GPU with pretty decents frames , i dont see how better GPUs wont handle at least decently at high settings
