Last one I played was F 2000 on the PS1 so it has been a while since I played one, but THAT one was HORRIBLE!

It might have gotten graphics and driving physics right but everything else revolving it was abyssimal, regarding game modes, total lack of variety and what put me off most:

They did put commentarys together with a snippet tool with highly remarkable loading times between each part of a sentence so it sounded like:

"And now there's.............................................................................................Schuhmacher taking over his opponent"

It was just plain downright godawful.

But given, 12 years have passed since then so things may have changed and they might have improved on it. Though I doubt it, the franchise back then was a mere moneymaker and if the same team is still behind it I doubt it has changed much for the better. If you want a good racing sim just go with Gran Turismo 5, way more cars, more variety, it's still pretty active and now pretty cheap to get with all bonus DLC included and even has some of the most important F1 racing tracks as well as some F1 cars in it.

But that one game 12 years ago, it was enough for me to be never ever interested in any of the F1 games again despite I like to watch the event on TV and racing / racing games in general.
