this is a benchmark release for the 5800k. im not posting the pile of other ones due to their bias vs intel as they continue to throw them agaisnt cpu's with hd 3000's or 2500 IGP's and only really dicuss 3dmark or passmark

http://www.inpai.com.cn/doc/hard/182755.htm

ram scaling appears to be very solid with ddr3-2400 the 5800k's gpu can do nearly 35fps avg in farcry 2 on ultra high @ 1080p

doing the same stunt with borderlands 2 (low setting) yields a similar result.

Damn, I'd love to make a cheap HTPC with one of those if they're pumping out those kind of numbers, lookin solid.

Interesting how FC2 on ultra is similar performance to Borderlands 2 on low.

Also I played Far Cry 3 yesterday, dunno what spec the pc was but it did lag a bit.

I'd rather wait a year for the better intel graphics to come out. At least i'd have a better cpu.

by which time kaveri will be here replacing trintiy which boast an hd 5750 as a gpu :P slipknot next time look b4 u leap. really ill be honest with you i dont expect trintiy to be very popular in the desktop market.. its basically a placeholder to try and get fm2 into the market before sending steamroller cored apu's with 5750's into the fray that have ridiculously low TDP's

Regardless, im just waiting till intel's graphics can play all games at playable levels at 720p. Should be Haswell.

They will be much more power efficient than the Amd chip.

haswell while in all likelyhood superior to amd's offering cpu wise wont be graphically. even if they arent over-exaggeratting their preformance. the best haswell will get graphically will be above the hd 6570. which is right on time for it to get flattened by the hd 8590 (codename mars) which will be launching in the next 4 months

You'll have to wait about 3-4 years for better intel graphics.

the benchmarks you see for AMD trinity vs hd4000 is seiously flawed. Even though AMD trinity still beats out intel HD4000 by a good 30% across the board, the trinity cpu itself is half as powerful as the ivybridge. If it weren't for that, trinity would have wooped intels graphics cards by another 30% across the board, a 60% improvement. AMD still hasn't caught up to first gen core i7 yet, hopefully they will come closer with their next cpu.
