Here's some performance/optimization info for those of us holding our breath for a few more days :D

Personally, I think my gtx 680 needs better drivers for GW2. It doesn't seem like it's doing its worth.

This game needs a loooooooooooooot of work, those numbers are pretty sad considering what it offers and drivers are not magic, needs a lot of effort from the developers themselves, because optimization is its biggest problem.

There've always been driver updates with dedication toward specific games; especially the 'big' ones. It does count toward optimization. However, no doubt the devs have to take care of business on thier end.

670 only doing 65-ish fps? i get well over that in bf3 at the ultra preset, consistently. obviously something is a little off with that. with that said, not getting gw2 since my plate is way too full right now, just pointing out that there may be optimization shortcomings.

They are needing a driver revision from nVidia. They have a pop up message if you run it on a Geforce suggesting you get the beta drivers because they work a lot better. nVidia has been slacking as of late and hasn't released a new driver revision since late May. From what I understand there is ~15% performance increase using the beta drivers. But regardless of that the game for me at least was amazingly stable. I experience ZERO issues using a 570GTX with the current drivers in the 5 hours or so I played last night. I was running at 1920x1200 with all the options cranked up and it ran smoothly. It will be optimized to run better over the next few months and considering how good it looks compared to most current MMOs I think it will be fine.

60 fps... Yeah sounds about right for what I was getting, everything maxed and generally sitting fine at 50-70 fps.

I love how my 460 is only getting 30 FPS. Stupid 2GB RAM bottleneck I can't fix..

The low fps will make fondling people's corpses back to life slightly more awkward. D:

Played the stress test yesterday for the first time and on my 670, 4GB RAM and Phenom II x4 955 I was struggling to reach 30 fps in crowded areas or big open areas. In caves etc I was reaching near 60 but still, my system should be well able for it unless the CPU is crippling it.

The client did say the drivers I was using were bad though so I downloaded new ones now for the full launch and hope it runs better. Right now the performance is disappointing because the game itself is stellar

Considering the game is DX9, and not-so-great visuals, while not discrediting art design because I think it looks great from a visual art style point of view; this game should not be struggling to get 60fps.

I assume that completely removing your armour does increase your performance a tiny bit (No pun intended).

What are your specs John? No, I do not want to fondle your corpses like Trastamad.
