asking for real wrestling fans here, watch the full match and then tell me why it was awful. I'm interested to see just how many people here actually understand professional wrestling.

And what is essentially wrong with "spotfests" in regards to how a professional wrestling match is supposed to be?

First I'll say that I didn't watch the match though I do like Super Dragon.

The problem with spotfests a lot of the time is that they don't tell a story; essentially it's the equivalent of a big blockerbuster movie that has a lot of explosions but not much else. There are also so many "oh my god" moments that each high spot gets you diminishing returns.

I enjoy a good spotfest every now and again though.

this. basically it was all flash 0 substance. as a result by the end anyone in the crowd with any sense has likely gotten to the point where they beg for them to jsut end the laser lightshow and get on to better things. its done mostly as filler in match lineups and sometimes it can be a real dissappointment it is. these are sometimes okay but sometimes they really irk me and make me wish they would try jsut that little bit harder to make the ticket buyer feel he got his moneys worth

Lack of psychology...but it was boring too...

Plus, XPW was about the worst of the worst in pro-wrestling. Run by a guy who makes fake-rape porn and they had stupid things like new jack literally trying to kill another guy by intentionally screwing up a 50 foot drop stunt...

Problem is, modern WWE wrestling shows are awful, guys like orton are all chinlocks and tedium. Guys like Cena are throwbacks in a way, but very bland ones marketed to little kids, but also pissing off the older fans who simply turn the product off. I'm pretty off of wrestling and it used to be a guilty pleasure.

XPW was worse than CZW at its worst which is saying a lot. At least CZW had that one period where they were feuding with ROH which was awesome for a while.

I've not seen XPW, but I have seen matches in Dorm rooms using cusions and bed mattresses that look like Wrestlemania compared to CZW
