In these playoffs you could certainly make that case.

I still think Lebron's overall game is better then Durant's though

Lebron can things that Durant can't. But Durant is clutch and can hit free throws more consistently.

Or he thinks Durant is just that good.

I was someone who all year was saying LeBron was the MVP, his stats were ridiculous, etc. But watching these playoffs he seems too tentative and afraid to screw up in big situations. Lebron arguably has the most pure talent of any basketball player in history; he shouldn't be relegated to trying to find corner 3s like he was doing in the 4th quarter of game 5. Meanwhile Durant just took control against a team who won 20 games in a row.

Durant's team beat the last 3 champions of the NBA handily and beat another that was on a tear through the league all year.

LeBron beat the Knicks, the Pacers, and is playing a Celtics team that wouldn't have even gotten this far if Rose didn't get hurt.

What KD has been able to do is way more impressive.KD is playing like Dirk last year, it's insane.

No, not yet at least. I still would rather have LeBron on my team right now despite the fact KD is younger. I don't like KD. He's the only superstar I despise.

also.. james is avg 29 or 30 ppg too...not 32.

One issue with Durant (not at all his fault) is that he plays on a small market team. I honestly feel this influences the Durant vs Lebron debate

Do you guys think he might be the next Tim Duncan: tremenduous players wins multiple championships, but does not get talked about much because he does not play in a big market?

I would take Durant over Lebron just for personal preference.

    AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.8ghz | EVGA GTX 570 SC | 8gb G.Skill DDR3 1600 | ASUS M4A79T Deluxe | WD 300GB VelociRaptor w/3TB additional storage | Corsair TX850W PSU | Antec 1200 V3 | Asus VE276Q 27" LCD & Acer 22" LCD | Win 7 x64 Ultimate

I would take Durant over Lebron just for personal preference.

LeBron's overall game is better than Durant... but Durant is better in the 4th quarter. And oh, Lebron scored 45pts to force game 7. He's doing it all.

I love it how LeBron comes out and has a HUGE game and nobody here is mentioning it. That alone shows how great LeBron is and that you're all just a bunch of haters. His overall game is better than KD. KD can't play defense half as well as LeBron so... It's not even a question. Plus, when Magic Johnson says you're the best player in the world, I'd tend to side with him. And seriously, how is it that you can dog LeBron when he is playing extremely well, but his teammates are coming up short, but give KD all the glory when his teammates are playing very well? This thread (among many others) is junk. Now that's a fact right there.

Lebron has all the talent in the world and when he's focused he can do some amazing things. My issue over the course of his career is that he hasn't had the consistent focus, drive and passion for the game that Bird, Magic, Jordan, Kobe and others, that made them want to "take your head off" just for stepping on the court with them.

Lebron played tonight with an angry but focused attitude, like he was tired of all the negative talk about him and he was going to show everbody wrong. When he's focused like that I think he is better than Durant (who is a beast himself). Should be a great match up WHEN the heat beat the Celtics in game 7.
