System Wars is a one of a kind destination where gamers can discuss, rant, and debate about systems, platforms, handhelds and the games. Not many people survive System Wars. The mightiest system warriors back up their arguments with facts.

Rules are simple:
- Read the Terms of Use and System Wars Survival Guide.
- Must be Level 10 or higher to create topics.
- Keep your discussions around what belongs here: platforms, games, developers, publishers, and stats.
- Don't quote more than one image in your post.
- Do NOT post or bump extremely abusive discussions (adult material/illegal activities/illegal advertising/etc).

Fanboys are trashing the Wii U because they're scared.

The WiiU won't be a quantum leap over the current gen and i think it's kinda stupid to bash the console with nothing barely known about it yet.

The only thing Nintendo needs to do is show the E3 2011 Zelda tech demo as an actual game for the Wii U and they will dominate.

Few people more than fanboys were that impressed and there hasn't been a AAA console Zelda game in nearly 10 years. So it'll take more than that to turn heads.

i'm not trashing the wiiu all i am saying is that every time i see a gameplay vid it looks like this.

    "look at tv!"

    "look at screen!"

    "now look at tv!"

    "now look at the screen!"

how are you supposed to build any kind of immersion being dragged about back and forth and having to concentrate on the controller.

everyone knows in a good game you forget you are holding a controller.

in a well designed game the action on screen becomes an extension of your thoughts and actions without having to think about the specific things you are doing in the physical world.

how do you forget you are holding a controller with the game actively calling your attention to it every 25 seconds?

the whole concept just looks stupid.

    hopefully i'm wrong.

Gamecube still reigns supreme as Nintendo's best supported console I bought all my multiplats on it.

After the lack of support for the Wii I am skeptical of Nintendo getting back 3rd party.

They'll get it regardless, like I got a Wii day one for Wii Sports and Red Steel. Their opions, like mine back then, are tainted by an imbalance in the force.

People are trashing it because it sounds like it's trying to compete with this gen rather than the next.

    Bingo!

The focus is on the pad and less about the actual hardware capabilities of the Wii:U.

It will end up looking like a 6yr old console or just slightly better as all signs indicate. Nothing amazing.
    Unless your "wow'd" easily.

Am sure new PC games, 720 and PS4 will have more better future gaming materials to play and use.

    Here is the big question-

We all know the Wii U will not be either not as powerful as the PS3 or just a tad at the most. So the question is- Are you fine paying another $299 to $399 for a system that wil have 90% of the same games as the 360 and PS3 except for a few exclusive (probably nothing sifnificant) extras and Nintendo made exclusives? It does not take much to realize Mario and ZElda will not be much different regardless of the console. Also- The New Smach Brothers AKA Smash Brothers Universe is gonna be complatible with the 3DS right? So it is not exactly gonna be a graphic marvel that is gonna be a big leap forward. For someone like me who would much rather play Sony and Microsoft exclusives............It is an easy chice. Plus developers like Epic and Crytek have already said it is cool but don't expect games from us. I am betting Bethesda and Valve as well as others have no plans to support it either.

    So what is the point?

    What..?

As for your Smash Bro's being compatible with 3DS comment...that has no bearing on the graphics of the Wii U version...

Those developers are either under NDA or they don't feel like porting games they are almost finished with to the Wii U.

true that man. Move could have ruined the PS3 just like Kinect ruined the Xbox but the next big thing could ruin everything for ever.
