I'm going to start with the Barbarian just because I haven't played a Diablo game all the way through before and I'd just like to keep it fairly simple and see how it goes. If its as great as I think its going to be I'll try the other characters too. Does anyone know if the level design changes depending on the character? Calling it now, I think this game has a very good chance of being the first PC to get a 10.

Whats with all the love for the most basic class - granted I played Warrior in Diablo I - but damn. Or are you all just mourning the loss of the Necromancer?

Forget that. The WD is a more intriguing Necromancer, I just want to bash stuff.

He is so much fun in DIII. I didn't care for him in DII, but I love his intensity in DIII. Not a BIG fan of the Necro either, though he had is awesome moments. Sorceress was my favorite DII character, though unbalanced.

Not a fan of the game from playing beta, too many WoW nuances. Didn't feel like a gothic fantasy, atmosphere left something to be desired. Score was weak and not dark enough. It felt too easy, less complicated, less unique. Weapon classification was lame. The. whole experience was incredibly mediocre. 8.0 at best

I WILL be rolling WD first, I love my summoner classes.

For some reason I just despise the monk. Barbarian seems cool, maybe my 2nd charactar. I have a feeling the Male DH has the Male wiz chained to his bedroom, I dunno he just comes of the wrong way...

Nah, but the male DH looks like hunched-emo dude straight from twilight, and the male Wiz doesn't really look "tough" or "indimidating", kinda looks like a 12 year old. I thought the Wizard was supposed to be head strong and impulsive. I dunno 'bout you but that model does NOT show the Wizard as headstrong or Impullsive.

Most of what he says is right, it is less complicated ... but the complication comes later as you suggest, which is ALOT more than D2 in the long run.

But the point about dark/gothic feeling I cant agree with, it was simple great.... and thats for first zone content.... nostalgia goggles must be nice.

Thats what I thought, people were complaining how easy it was (on normal mode wtf?) when theres hell and nightmare , don't know if theres a hardcore mode.

It annoyed me so much that I always get pimped slapped by that 2nd boss in the end of act 2 on my barb, always had to have my friend come help on his lightning sorc.

It goes Normal > Nightmare > Hell > Inferno. And yes, there's still the hardcore option. Basically, no one should be whining about the difficulty as of right now, this is going to get hard.
