We got that in Donkey Kong Country Returns, it was just done with different controls.

I'd like the next one to have some of the Matrix-style smackdown points from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.

no we didn't. The roll in the SNES games sped up each consecutive enemy you hit so there was chain rolling. The roll in DKCR was preset and never changed. The only way to do a prolonged roll was to have Diddy, but that wasn't nearly as satisfying as reaching super high speeds by ploughing through 3+ enemies in a row

I wouldn't say no to another DK64 style game.

Or if it stays 2d, I'd like to see the other characters come back, at the very least.

I really miss Chunky Kong. He added the good, outrageous humor, that the game needed for comic relief.

I'm finding the large amount of DK64 love kind of confusing. Did you folks really enjoy the 5x collect-a-thon that much? Or do you just hate 2D games?

I liked collecting the banana challenges, but no, I don't hate 2D games. I just wanted another game that had as much exploration as Donkey Kong 64.

It would've been nice if each Kong only had to collect ONE Golden Banana.

I'd like to see another DK64 style game. But as others have said, maybe less of a fetch quest.

Annie are you OK? So Annie are you OK? Are You OK Annie?

    Well I did...

So of course, a DK64-style game would suit me best.

It is a love/hate type of game. You either really love the game or you really hate the game. That is just from the people I know that have played that game.

I wouldn't mind there being a split in the series similar to New Super Mario Bros./ 3D Mario Platformer (Galaxy). Keep the "Country" line of 2D games going but also have something more similar to DK64 (or the expected evolution therefrom). Wouldn't necessarily have to be one franchise for home consoles and the other for handhelds, but that can work. Obviously not as frequently released as Mario, either.

Have they ever done a New York City themed world?

It seems only appropriate that there would be one.
