Getting ready for Mass Effect 3
- Feb 10, 2012 7:42 pm GMT

Ok so unfortunately when i first played through Mass Effect 2 i didn't have a gaming pc at the time. So i had to settle playing it with my xbox, and during all that time i managed to score a perfect game save. All my team mates survived and i was waiting for ME3 so i can load my gamesave.
But now that i have my gaming pc i really dont want to play it on the consoles, so today i want to go out and pick up ME2 again for the pc. It will be my fifth play through once i complete it again haha :D
Are any of you guys playing through the game again to get ready for ME3? I honestly cant wait.
- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
- Honestly I don't know how many of you have so much time to be able to play a game 5 FREAKING TIMES !!! I can barely finish one game as it is....

I will replay through ME1 and ME2 when I'm finished with my exams, so I'll start next week.

I'm more than a Bird, I'm more than a Plane, I'm a Bird Plane!!!

I only finished ME2 once, I was annoyed that one guy died at the end but couldn't be bothered playing through it again. It was still a good game, but no where near as good as the first....where I played through it 3 times.
I'm hoping ME3 will be amazing and keep me interested for many a time.

With the different cIasses for Shepard, plus paragon or renegade, and romance options, you have reasons to play again.

I've played played through each 4 to 5 times and just recently finished a play through. On a side note does anyone know if best buys gamers reward zone different from the regular reward zone? They have a deal where you get $20 if you pre order Mass Effect 3 from there but Im only a rewards zone member.

Yeah if I hadn't played ME2 so many times I wouldn't have played a Sentinel, which is my new favorite class. I previously always rolled soldier on my first playthrough then infiltraitor and then vanguard. Sentinel is way more fun IMO, that will be my second playthrough this time and probably my MP class. I played ME 3.5 times (2.5 on the XBox and 1 on the PC). ME2 3 times and most of a 4th (which I may finish in the near future) and fully intend to play ME3 at least 4 times.
I think there may be a way to import 360 saves to the PC using the Gibbed save editor. I'll look, but I think you can pull it off with a jump drive and then alter it to import into ME2.
EDIT: Found it this page links to the explaination on how to convert ME saves between the PC and 360 file formats.

So what I did was to run their loyalty dialogs to the max...reason for that is I read where ME2 checked for hundreds of decisions in a ME1 imported save, so I wanted my ME2 save to have as much as possible.

Haha yes guys i loved Mass Effect 2 that much :D
There's so much reason for more play-throughs with different classes, romantic scenes, and of course striving for that perfect game save (which did take me a few times)

I was in the same situation. I played through it on the 360, and I put in at least 40 hours or so... found all those nodes too and did every quest out there. I only played it once though and that was enough. Like FelipeInside said, I barely find the time to play A game.. lol.. I'm stuck in a dilemma. Should I play ME2 again for the game save to transfer.. but that would mean my ME2 game save is not going to be all that good since I don't have an ME1 game save. ****..- Please wait. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bitMass Effect demands multiple playthroughs. As a minimum I'll go for a soldier and adept playthrough, mix in a paragon, "mix it up" and total renegade characters and then at least one of those with the difficulty dialled right up...there are plenty of excuses to play through the series many times.
(I did abandon one attempt at ME because I inadvertantly made my character too ugly to look at and another on ME2 because being an infiltrator on insanity was...too insane >.> )

I'm absolutely playing the first two again!
Not just to give it a better sense of continuity but to gear it towards how I'm planning to play in Mass Effect 3 which is going to be renegade.
I think BioWare's games have far more replay value than most simply because you can play through them differently each time and explore every variable. Most games, especially first-person shooters, have a 'seen one, seen them all' kind of feel to them so I'm always on the lookout for more developments from BioWare.
