she is selling me her 1 month old xbox 360 slim 4GB too me. also i have too buy a 100 dollar hardrive for the system itself since i only have like 4gigs of space. But here is my problem-should i buy this and upgrade the HD for a total of around $150 dollars($50 dollars for xbox and $100 for hardrive) ORRR wait about 1 year, stick with my old fat xbox 360 w/120GB HD and wait too get the next generation consoles??!i dont see any reason to spend 150 dollars on a new xbox 360.i only see GTA5,halo 4, and the Witcher 2 as the only reason too even get another xbox 360.

There's no point in buying a slim 360 if you already have a normal model

If you had the 20gb model or the old Arcade I'd say yes but since you have a 120gb hdd I say no

If you already have the older model, especially with a 120 gig hdd, keep that. Especially with new consoles rollin out either this year or next year, definitely save your money. Plus if you want to buy gta5 (thank you mutual fan btw) and other games, save it

Uh...no offense but these two are a couple of bozo's (and why you shouldn't take advice from most people on Gamespot)

Take the system and sell your old one. Or keep your old system and sell the slim. There's only profit to be made here.

This. Buy your sister's slim if your breaks. If it doesn't keep yours.

Dude, how much can he sell a used 4GB for? Not much profit to be made here.

    Keep what you got.

Alternately you can buy your sister's 360 slim for $50 and resell it, or keep it in the closet as a backup.

I would buy the new one and sell the old one. Yes MS is coming out with a new one, but we don't know when and what its going to be.

He could sell it for at least $120 if it's in "good-as-new" condition. Hell, I bet he could throw it up on Craiglist for $140 and it'd sell within a day.

He's buying it for $50, how can it be in good conditions?
