i'm in Ur living room playing Tha PS3
Anyway I've played skyrim through all the game and had a super blast!!! The game is really awesome, didn't like the main quest but everything else and the gods side quests are just amazing!!! Anyway what I wanted to ask though, if I liked skyrim soo much do you think I will have as much fun and love for the oblivion? I mean the game is a bit old already, the graphics are a bit dated...maybe not even a bit... Overall how's the oblivion for ps3 ? Anyone liked it more than skyrim? How's the load times ? And side quests overall? Thx in advance- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

Fun but I haven't played it since Skyrim. It may be hard to do. But if ur done with Skyrim it's the next best thing and cheap I got goty for like 20 it's worth a shot.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.
- Feb 10, 2012 3:56 pm GMTI've only played about 16 hours of Oblivion compared to my 95 in Skyrim. The general consensus, and I agree with, is that Skyrim is much better.

It's not as good as Skyrim but it's still enjoyable. Skyrim is basically improvement over Oblivion in every way but it's still excellent RPG that will take you 100+ hours of fun.
They are both set in very similar world and there is a very good chance you will like it since you love Skyrim, Go for GOTY Edition, it's 20$ new and offers all expansions. Load times are very good and PS3 version runs without issues. I have clocked over 170+ hours into it.
Fantastic game, go for it.

A lot of the Daedric quests are hilarious and fun. I think Oblivion might have better quests but Skyrim has much better gameplay. The combat and menu will be hard to get used to after playing Skyrim.

Ps3 version of Oblivion is not even worth bothering with. That goes for the 360 version too,
PC is the only way to go for that game.
Even now, I'd say forget it. Skyrim is much better.

Oblivion on PC with mods is great, on consoles now that Skyrim is out I don't know.... I can recommend both Morrowind and Oblivion they're both great games especially with mods and I played Morrowind after Oblivion and had a great time so...

Oblivion is still a good game. Of course Skyrim improved upon it, but that's what all sequels are supposed to do. Since you have not played it I'd say give it a try since it's rather cheap for the GOTY version now. Since it is like Skyrim it's neat to travel around in a different world but still be familiar with the game in a way. Though, the Oblivion gates can get annoying, but there are only a handful that you actually have to do for the story so it's not that bad.
There's still a lot of fun to be had in Oblivion, and I ended up putting over 60 hours on it so it's still addictive.
Just know that using bows and enchating weapons is more difficult in Oblivion (at least IMO it is).

And side quests overall? Thx in advance[/QUOTE] i dont have it for ps3 so i cant coment on that. but i did have it on a gameing PC. graphicly its a big step down from skyrim but im sure you knew that. its how ever still a good looking game. the dungeons are pretty bland though. but if you liked skyrim then i think you'll like oblivion. there are some def besides graphics like weapons degrading,no double weapon use iirc ect. but over all the game plays very much the same. the quest are of the same caliber more or less. some being better than others. you have the faction guild quest lines, main story is a bit ho-hum but as with skyrim it makes up for it in side quest ect. the enviroments are pretty varied, you have open grass feilds, swamps, snowy skyrim like areas ect. the game def has a def vibe though. its has a huge roman style vs a barbarian/vikeing style. Any way as i said, if the lower graphics Lv does not bother you its def worth getting. i must have put thousands of hours in that game lol.- Please wait.
