New Rabbids Game

"Players must battle it out across several different worlds, capturing over 100 Rabbids to complete their collection.

Interactive mini games feature, utilising the 3D and Augmented Reality functionality of the Nintendo 3DS. Rabbids will surge from the floor, fly around and even battle it out atop the kitchen table.

Multiple game modes are included, such as a solo campaign and multiplayer battles, and, for the first time in franchise history, Rabbids Rumble will introduce an accessible and hilarious turn-based combat system.

Players will be able to challenge their friends to intense battles mixing tactics with the Rabbid?s classic wackiness. Each Rabbid comes prepared with hilarious combat abilities and can be trained to become stronger for battles."

    Sounds intereesting.

E3 2012 is just around the corner, so it's almost time for Nintendo to brake their pre-E3 silence. And for Nintendo's E3 2012 Conference I'll provide 3DS related news updates from within the 3DS Info Thread (pretty much what I'm doing right now, but with news from E3). I will also be providing Wii U related news inside the 'E3 2012 Discussion and Information Thread' on the Wii & Wii U Forum.

    Here's a link to it: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/topic/29179866/the-e3-2012-discussion-and-information-thread

I'll try to update both threads as soon as I can, once Nintendo's Presentation is over.

So feel free to discuss 3DS news from E3 2012 - RIGHT HERE!

    @El_Zo1212o

I knew that news would put you in a good mood.

It does sound kind of interesting. The only Rabbids game I've played is Rabbids Go Home, and I thought that was a fun game.

    Hopefully this one is too.

New Spy Hunter coming to 3DS (and Vita) this Fall:

    tumblr_m4uo9dh5aq1rn4obco1_1280.jpg

    Announcement Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMjqikXk_Z4

"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces Spy Hunter, a reboot of the legendary combat driving series, specially developed for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS by TT Fusion. The game will be available this fall.

    f67b7e0045128b14324731441501004d-2012042

On the eve of the franchise?s 30th anniversary since the original Spy Hunter was released to arcades in 1983, the new Spy Hunter races forward on its most thrilling and dangerous ride yet. The player once again takes on the role of the ?Agent,? the driver of the high-tech G-6155 Interceptor supercar, armed extensively with advanced weaponry, and ready to take on a global terrorist organization set on world domination.

"Spy Hunter's classic gameplay has been upgraded to give PlayStation Vita and 3DS players a new, adrenaline-charged experience,? said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. ?Gamers now have more choice in the transformation and customization with greater hand controls, brilliant graphics and enhanced action cameras."

    f67b7e0045128b14324731441501004d-2012042

The Interceptor seamlessly transforms from supercar to off-road assault vehicle to speed boat, allowing players to go where they like within the game?s branching mission tracks. Players can choose to outfit and upgrade the Interceptor?s many weapons and high tech gadgets as they like throughout the course of the game. And for the first time, the Agent will have additional support in the form of an unmanned aerial support drone, allowing players to plan their destruction when assaulting enemy agent strongholds. Spy Hunter also features thrilling crash choreography and a camera system that follows the action in slow motion to let players savor the destruction they created."

Apparently the first game was good, but the second one didn't turn out well. Hopefully this one is better.

Natsume Announces Harvest Moon: A New Beginning coming to North America this year:

    tumblr_m4szpig9My1r1p9efo1_500.jpg

"Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, is proud to announce that Harvest Moon: A New Beginning will be coming to North America this year; a year which also marks the 15th anniversary of the Harvest Moon series in North America!

"We're extremely excited to be bringing Harvest Moon: A New Beginning to the North American audience," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume. "It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since the first Harvest Moon game debuted on the SNES back in 1997! A New Beginning has many new customization features that will please both veterans of the series and new players alike!" - PR email

I was kind of disappointed by the last one I played, but this one look promising.

Harvest Moon Creator Announces New IP Codenamed "Project Happiness":

    tumblr_m4rx6brj6P1qd6q29o1_500.jpg

"Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada recently set up his own studio, TOYBOX, with a simple message: "we are gaming for Love, Peace and Earth." Natsume, Rising Star Games and TOYBOX have just announced Project Happiness -- a temporary title -- with more details to come at E3.

The announcement doesn't give much more away than that, but does specify "Project Happiness will warm the hearts of gamers both young and old." Sounds very much like a Wada creation: as well as Harvest Moon, he also worked closely with Yoshiro Kimura on the similarly heartwarming Little King's Story.

Natsume, Rising Star and Wada all have plenty of history on Nintendo platforms, so we're pretty confident this'll come to 3DS or possibly even Wii U." - Nintendo Life

"Rising Star Games today announces its partnership with TOYBOX and Natsume to bring an exciting new IP to the global audience: Project Happiness (working title). Developed by Yasuhiro Wada, the ?Father of Harvest Moon?, and his new studio TOYBOX, Rising Star Games will publish the title in Europe and PAL territories - Natsume handling the Americas. More information about Project Happiness will be revealed by Yasuhiro Wada during E3 2012." ...

"As more details are revealed throughout the year, players will begin to understand why we think Project Happiness will be the next major IP and fan favorite for Natsume." - Natsume

Yet another E3 announcement I'll be looking out for.

Zen Studios Reveals CastleStorm for "Nintendo Digital Platforms":

    castlestorm_07.jpg

"3DS owners, it's a good job you like castles. Yesterday we had Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate confirmed and today Zen Studios -- yes, the pinball guys -- announced CastleStorm for "Nintendo digital platforms".

The tower defence/strategy hybrid was officially confirmed for the 3DS eShop but Zen has said it's in development for "literally every digital platform", so we're putting bets on a Wii U digital release later this year. Big bets. As for the game itself, it's a side-on take on tower defence with a dash of physics-based play in there too. The trailer below explains more.

Zen Studios will be at E3 next week so we should see more." - Nintendo Life

    Announcement Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm9_llv7vwo

This looks pretty fun, and the Wii U version should be great.

Rhythm Thief developer would love to make a Nintendo All-Star Musical game:

    dance-dance-revolution-with-mario-200505dancingbowserhighres_2%25255B5%25255D.jp

"CVG: If you could work on any Nintendo franchise, what would it be?

Shun Nakamura: I would rather pick out no titles! Honestly, I would like to enjoy Nintendo titles just as a user rather than developer, because most of them are too great and seem so hard to develop. If I had to, I'd ideally create something like Nintendo All Star Musical, a rhythm game like Rhythm Thief using Nintendo characters and background music. Mario rhythmically follows the stage while Koopa Troopa's location is based on the rhythm, and that makes a track, for example. Nintendo, I'm looking forward to your offer!"

    Heroes-of-Ruin-Logo.jpg

"A note to our valued Heroes of Ruin fans and supporters...

We share your excitement as we build toward the release of Heroes of Ruin, one of the most ambitious titles yet developed for the Nintendo 3DS! The game's multiplayer experiences, voice chat, daily challenges and other features will provide an unprecedented Nintendo 3DS experience.

With development now completed, we look forward to Heroes of Ruin debuting in Europe on June 15 and North America on July 17. While the game's rollout will take slightly longer than previously announced, we know your time in the World of Veil will be all the better for it.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to crossing paths with you soon in Nexus!" - n-Space's Facebook page

It's coming out about a week before my birthday now. Thanks n-Space. ;):P

Go here to read the complete CVG interview with SEGA's Shun Nakamura:

I actually like that idea. Maybe we'll see it happen one day.

Journey creator was inspired by Animal Crossing:

    18581Desert1.jpg

    Conversation via Twitter...

"Jonathan Holmes: Hey @jenovachen, what do you think about Animal Crossing? No real goals, atmosphere focused, silent, nonviolent co-op. You down with that?

Janova Chen: yeah it is a big inspiration."

I love animal crossing, and I love Journey... they're both totally different experiences, but still share similarities.

Castlestorm looks pretty cool, but that trailer's music... I'm pretty sure that music is straight from the flash game Age of War. I'll probably end up buying it for the 3DS because I feel like it would have the better control set up, but I'm hoping for more factions in future updates.

I played and finished the Lego Batman 2 Demo. Its alot of fun, I like the voice acting and I think the controls are great! If I ever have money, I might buy this game whenever it launches.

I played it this morning. It was cool... ish. I think I'll still hold out for an Arkham 3DS game.

The only Lego game I played was Lego Indiana Jones for the DS. I got so bored and I hated it so much, I haven't been able to face a Lego game since.

Renegade Kid's new game looks cool - Bomb Monkey. It's an eShop game that's similar to Tetris.

Check out the preview at Nintendo Life.

Also according to Jools Watsham's Twitter, it'll be out by June 28th or July 5th in North America.
