Well it shouldn't be a far reach to assume that it will be like other games in the genre.

Oh god, if this is true expect a lot of rip-off comments

That may be true, but its missing that special something which brings tier 2 games like Killzone 2 to tier 1 games like COD, and Halo 3, and Gears.

Killzone II was definitely better than any recent Call of Duty game.

Me and millions and millions of people have to disagree with that. People vote with their wallets.

Yep because games like Wii Resort and Wii Fit are SUCH better games than say Mass Effect or Demon's Souls

Maybe Guerrilla will introduce a more sandbox environment in KZ3? Maybe?

I think it will be more open. Not that they have the engine already made all they have to do is uprade it. I hope Geurilla listens to the fans concerns because everyone also wanted a more sandbox approach for Killzone 2 as well.

I think they should really develop the story of the game. The idea of invading a planet, its implications, the tie ins to current world wide events, theres a lot of juice there. Sadly in Killzone 2 all I got was a bunch of expletives and Rico. They should delve into the point of who are really the bad guys in their world.

    ..

In terms of gameplay a more sandbox approach really would be fun. Just a larger scale would really help with a sense of a war and drive the experience home that much better. In terms of multi they should try to pick it up to 64, it would work if the maps are designed for it.

Especially with the way Killzone II ended, there is a great chance for a really enticing story. I know a lot of people here will cry because I said this, but it should happen: Forget the graphics and improve all the stuff that needs improving. Friendly AI for one. Story for another.

Im sure Killzone 3 was in development quite a while before there was any announcement of Halo Reach Jetpacks. Thats not to count that reach is far and away from the 1st game to incorparate Jet packs. Maybe gold old Duke Nukem gave them the idea

Yeah. Warhawk was a lot of fun, but I never got try the jetpacks because I lost my copy of the game. I just hope KZ3 has stronger weapons.

If Killzone 3 utilizes MLAA like God Of War III did, which I would almost bet money it will, we might be looking at a game even more visually stunning than KZ2 on the same console. All I wanted for a sequel was a Helghast campaign and to delve deeper into the story. The story from what I understand is actually pretty good, it's just told poorly. Looking at the fact that the ISA are technically the bad guys I would LOVE to see a campaign through the Helghasts eyes. That or maybe putting you back and forth between being a Helghast soldier and Sev. Yeah, I know it sounds a bit Call Of Duty-esque, but I'd actually want it to be the same 2 characters and give it some depth so you get each perspective.

If done well it could really give a unique spin on why each side is fighting and allow you to see the shortcomings of each side of the war.
