"this isn't the Command & Conquer you remember, though that isn't to say it isn't good. In fact, online play is rather fun when two equally matched teams are going at it, warring over those all-important towers and nabbing Tiberium crystals. It's a good-looking, nice-sounding game with the thick and colorful C&C attitude you hoped to see. Yet the limited focus and flabby campaign make Tiberian Twilight a disappointment nonetheless. This is a good game, but such a renowned and beloved character as Kane should have received a more explosive goodbye."

Sucks, I wished they would have focused on the campaign and let kane go out with a bang :( ! Still getting it though.

yep pretty much EA killed westwood long ago C&C hasn't been good in a long time, Generals blew C&C was only good before that.

Why not improve on C&C 3? I understand that they wanted to give the series a new direction,but as drastically as this?

I feel that this is not a fitting end for Kane´s story(as KvO stated as well).

I'm not a big RTS guy but I loved the original Red Alert and its expansion pack 'Aftermath'. Playing through Red Alert's campaigns is one of my most cherished gaming memories - the videos were so cool and the guy who played Stalin did a great job. The chicks were hot, too, and it was all very tongue-in-cheek with great quality. Of course, the gameplay owned as well. A friend of mine actually had a LAN set-up at his place and we'd go over there and play Red Alert multiplayer. Good times were had.

I have Red Alert 2 but never bothered playing it properly. Also have Generals which was a very forgettable game... maybe I'll try it out again since the specs won't be a problem anymore. I've always liked the Red Alert games more than the C&C games. Even though I don't care much for these games anymore, Red Alert does always seem to call at me a little to play it. I had no idea there was a third one hahaha.

I'm not surprised, because EA noobiefied the game by changing it's gameplay completally. At least Warhammer 40.000: Chaos Rising was a great surprise, as well Napoleon: Total War released last month.

And people still complains about the lack of real changes in Starcraft II. Blizzard made the right decision to keep the core gameplay intact. :D

I'm still gonna buy this game. It's apparently still good enough to play.

I wouldn't be so harsh on EA. They tried something new, but they failed to deliver it. At least they didn't use copy-paste method like they did in "I hate EA" era.

Similar thing happened with Mirror's Edge. Great idea, but at the end many people complained how great idea turned into a pile of crap. Okay, perhaps not a pile of crap, but similar.

EA confirmed this is not the end for the Command & Conquer franchise, so I really hope there'll be more.

Generals 2 would be great. It's my favourite C&C game to date.

Yeah I also own everything C&C up till C&C3, and nowI refuse to buy this rubbish!!! :P I actually started playing the first C&C on a MAC, yeah I'm ashamed...

I really doubt the campaign was awful though. At least I hope it isn't.

From what i saw in the Beta they were just trying to copy Relic games, but they did a shoddy job. Its just a spamfest and lacks the tactical depth of DoW II, Company of Heroes or World in Conflict.

But that's the thing... why is the multiplayer more polished than the campaign? Actually the same thing seems to happen in a lot of more recent sequels. And I strongly suspect it is because publishers like EA are pushing the developers to emphasize the former.

I havent fully enjoyed any command and conquer game after Red Alert 2. Anyways, its sad to see the series fell down but I am having some fun on Dawn of war 2 Chaos Rising.
