Well, there's a lot of northern rappers that don't get much attention, like Classified, Kardinal Offishall, Quarashi, Tona, JB (not the Jonas brothers >.>), D-sisive, and many more.

Eh since I see you like Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks and etc. I would recommend R.A. The Rugged Man, La Coka Nostra, Ill Bill, Necro.

But a lot of people have named good choices like Royce The 5'9, Joell Ortiz, Elzhi, Black Milk, Crooked I, Blu.

I don't know how mainstream these are, but I don't know anyone who knows them: Dr. Octagon (Dr. Octagonecologyst was probably one of my favorite albums) Company Flow Dark Sun Riders Digable Planets Digital Underground

The only one that is mainstream is Digital Underground. Digable Planets had one big Grammy winning hit in Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat) but the rest of their catalogue went pretty unnoticed by the mainstream.

To answer this thread, my favorite underground group is Organized Konfusion. Definitely check out all three of their albums...

"Releasing Hypnotical Gases"

"Keep It Koming"

"Invetro"
