should I get a PSP 2000, 3000, or GO?

2000

pros: cheap, used games (also cheap)

cons: still need to buy memory, still sorta large, screen problems.

3000

pros: used games, skype

cons: still need to buy memory, still sorta large, not much improvement over the 2000, and in some cases screen looks worse than the 2000

GO

pros: smaller, skype, 16GB memory, NEW stuff (mostly unknown)

cons: no used games, price, potential problems are mostly unknown.

should I shell out the cash now for a 2000, or gamble on the GO?

i havent seen any screen problems on the 3000, and 2000 and 3000 have skype also.

really depends if u want digital distro, or phsical copys but in a few months u could see that 16GB memory stick dropping :)

Depends, do you like the idea of digital downloads? You're stuck with them for the Go.

Atleast wait until E3 to find out some more info on the PSP GO before you decide.

Yeah, wait till E3, and if the 'GO' is official, get that, if not, get the 2000, there's a lot your missing out on; GTA's, Crisis Core, Killzone, MOH, Burnout and Midnight Club : LA Remix, is my favourite.

I have to say shell out now for the 3000. I can't believe that Sony would be making a new system less than a YEAR after the 3000 is released. The PSP has a lot of amazing games on it, so I suggest looking for the top ones here at Gamespot and then buying those. :) It's worth it.

I'd go with the 3000. Hard to beat the extra features. Wouldn't touch the GO with a 10 foot pole (if it really does exist)

because I love used games, but thats just me. I can see how some might prefer the digital downloads..

You know that the PSP Go will cost less than the current PSP's.

Well we don't have all the info yet, but definitely the Go. It looks so nice, sleek, and portable. Plus I hate bringing a ton of discs with me around, and digital downloads load way faster.

It's not even out yet (or confirmed fully for that matter) and people are already recommending it?

2000 is best out at moment. and honestly, just wait till more info on go, if i were you i would just buy psp 2000 and a 16 gig memory stick. used games are going to be non existant with the go, a negative if you ask me,and that nub is really awkwardly placed on the go.

In other words, why does this topic exist? If everybody goes by what you say then the Go will just be ripped apart in this thread.

I'm pretty sure it's fully confirmed when a SCE rep shows it off in an interview.

I've currently got a 1000, and been thinking of upgrading to a 3000, however I might get a Go instead.

I would go with a PSP 2000. They're cheaper, they're just as good as the 3000 in my opinion, and in some cases, you can use a Pandora Battery.

I got a used one, looks brand new, not a single small scratch, $77...

Read the post. How did that have anything to do with "ripping the Go apart"?

I just don't think recommending something you know next to nothing about, to someone else is a good idea. Especially a new potential PSP owner.

It's like the kids that come to threads to bash a game they don't even own. How could you take their word for it if they have never even seen so much as the title screen?

And we don't have a confirmed spec list from Sony yet. Nor a release date. Thats all.

It's PSP 2000 vs. 3000 vs. GO.

He put an option I think is nice so I told him it's an option that he should think about.

By the way you're looking at things then no one should post in this thread. How does everyone already know that the other systems are the best out of them?

Why even make or post in this thread if you know nothing about one of the options?

I think the point of your post could also be redirected at the thousands saying the new system is crap.
