Holy crap, that's a lot of red  Unfortunately, MS decided to strip down Vista's defragger, so I don't have something like that to show y'all. But my HDD shouldn't be that bad.

I use CCleaner and PerfectDisk 10 on a daily basis, so my computer's all tuned up.

I think one of the pros of using Ubuntu (or maybe Linux as a whole) is that your HDD does not get fragmented.

Partition c: is 1% fragmented. Partiton d: is 0% fragmented. I never run any external cleaning/defragmenting tools and basically ignore my hard drive. It's good to have Vista. it beats me why anyone sticks with that dinosaur XP. EDIT: Yes, by Vista I mean 7, but they're almost literally the same thing. 7 just has a new coat of paint; the guts are the same.

True. In my experience, however, they (ext2/3) tend to randomly become uncorrectably read-only, ignore fsck run in every way imaginable, and mandate a full reinstall all the time. I tried Linux for quite a while and just got fed up with how broken everything is.

I use Vista and I'm not sure how to get all that info on it. However, my computer auto defrags once a week and yesterday was the last time it did it so I assume it's doing fairly good.

0%. Ext3 doesn't usually allow for fragmenting files (I think). Ubuntu does not even come with a defragger that I know of.
