I like Vegemite but it sometimes burns my throat a bit. I can understand why people would hate it; I and other Australians probably only like it because we've been eating it since early childhood. I think Marmite is disgusting.dave003

Everyone to their own. Im Aussie. Love Vegemite. I think you have to be an aussie to appreciate and like vegemite.

I understand foreigners disliking vegemite, because I've given them a teaspoon full in the past to try it. lol. Any Aussie knows that you have it THINLY spread. Crumpets with butter and a LIGHT spread of vegemite are some of the the tastiest things on Earth!

tis great stuff. mind you so if nutella. but most foriegners spread it too thick, and it has a strong taste.

but its kinda like the yanks jelly, its not like our aussie jelly theres is more spreadale and like jam.

I just got back from having my piece of toast and vegemite. I had a bit of a scare though. I went into the pantry and found the jar... Then I took the lif off and it was empty :o! Then I looked in the pantry again and there was an unopened jar :D.CreepingDeath_

You're not suppose to eat Vegemite by itself, you spread it on toast with butter. Taste awesome.

never used to like it then one day just had the urge to give it another try. Cant imagine having a cheese sandwich without some vegemite on it too

i live in australia and its not bad the tip is

A.toast your bread

B.put butter on your toast

C.dont put heaps of Vegemite

and walla if you still dont like it i guess your not australian mate

Kinda sounds like that nutella crap they eat in some countries. Our grocery store sold some and it was garbage. Luckily it has a long shelf life, cuz nobody buys that crap. I think in the 5 years I worked there I only restocked it once.
