What does ''digital projection'' mean at the movies?
- Jul 1, 2008 3:37 pm GMTI'm going to see Hancock tomorrow and the time I want to go at 11:35 says the movie is in digital projection. What does this mean and will the ticket cost more money if I go see this version? Also, what does "director's hall" mean? That is another option to go see the movie in.

I assume it means the movie is recorded on a digital medium (disc) rather than analog (film reel).

Showcase cinemas are my favourite cinemas here in the UK. As for the digital projection thing i think it means it is from a digital source like a disc.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

The theatre is actually split across 2 buildings, one is older from the 70s and the newer building was built in 1997.
