Transferring PS2 save data to PS3

I just downloaded a PS2 save file from Gamefaqs, but how do I transfer it to my PS3? I created these folder:

PS3>SAVEDATA>***Save files***

It works when I'm transferring PS3 save files, but won't work when transferring PS2/PS1 save files. Is there a way to this?

you have to create a virtual memory card for any ps2 games (the same for ps1). then copy the saved game files onto that memory card.jj42883

Would you mind clarifying on that? Like give me a step by step instructions? You don't have if you don't want to. Thanks a lot though.

You can only transfer PS2/1 save files that are virtual memory card saves in gamefaq, for example when you go to a certain game make sure that the headline say virtual memory card saves then you will be able to transfer the saves to the folder you created.

But if the save file doesn't say it is a virtual memory card save then you need an adopter to transfer your saves.

Steps:

1) Create a Virtual Memory Card on your PS3 [Game > Memory Card Utility (PS/PS2)> New Internal Memory Card]

2) Go to the save section of the game save you want to download

3) Make sure it says "Virtual Memory Save" or whatever

4) Download it and unzip it

5) Create a new file on your transfer device called "PS3"

6) Inside "PS3" make a file named "EXPORT"

7) Copy the data from the GameFAQs file to "PS3 > EXPORT"

8 ) Hook it up to your PS3, go to [Game > Memory Card Utility] and copy it to your PS3

Thank you. Turns out I was missing a PSV folder.
