Here are the first Blue Mars screenshots.

Background Info: (For those who know nothing about the game)

Blue Mars is aMMVW (Massively Multiplayer Virtual World) similar to Second Life, set on a terraformed Mars. The game is built on Crytek's CryENGINE 2.0 and has no official release date.

Being developed by Avatar Reality.

Anyway, most probably won't care but this IS the first game other than Crysis to be shown off using CryENGINE 2.0. Just passing along my find(actually the find of someone at inCrysis. Thought I would post it here.).

how is it the wrong forum? System Wars is for everything game related basically... And yes, for an MMO, this game kills graphically.

... its a Virtual Reality game set on a terraformed Mars that is supposed to be a paradise. Anyway, have you seen the indoor footage in Crysis? If you are going to diss CryENGINE 2.0 do it properly...

no.... Far Cry 2 is built on Dunia(which is a 90% modified CryENGINE 1.0 making it basically a different engine...)

I know CryEngine 2 looks great, but... enough with the palm trees. Every game that uses this engine has a tropical setting. I want to see what else it can do.

its more of a training game but yes. Thing is they haven't shown it off....

Anyway, lots of non-gaming places are licensing it because it is the best tech out there. For example,Ringling College for Art and Design is using it now...

They've shown a little about it. Apparently, it's a IED trainer.

They have some movies if your really interested in IED training.

yes, true... sorry. Anyway, its not really a full blown game. They also aren't in it for the visuals, just the ease of use of the Sandbox 2.0 editor... If you watch their videos and screenshots, they aren't even trying to push the engine, they just need it so they can make a lot of different levels quickly.
