Simple:

set the BD/DVD upscaler off

Set the HDMI 24fps off

HDMI audio set should be put on bitstream

Turn off that PS3 upscaler/smoother

Disable: system display notify, media server, all other automatic settings ... if you're not playing a game online, go ahead and sign off the PSN.

or.. play your PS3 on this TV...

Sony's 52" BRAVIATM XBR® Widescreen Full HD Flat-Panel LCD TV with Built-in ATSC Digital Tuner
KDL52XBR5

im getting one this winter break, going to be sick

-Motionflow doubles the amount of frames from 60fps to 120fps and does it the right way by using real-time calculation of every single frame of video to create entire new frames of information.

-MFv2.5 now has the added ability to process interlace and progressive video signals and because it has twice the processing power of previous DRC-MF circuits, it can do its processing and output them to 1080p.

those are some key features.. may more on this TV, i also iked this feature...

None of that effects frame issues. A lot of people have tried it and no one noticed a single difference.

Simplest solution: Sit back and wait for developers to get comfortable/acquainted with programming for the PS3.

Well mine doesn't have frame rate issues. But maybe I don't notice it.

I mean most are sports games that I hear about so I don't play them anyway. What else apparently has frame rate issues?

When was the last time you increased the framerate on your console?

Not completely understanding why those things would effect framerate. Ps1/ps2 upscaler effecting ps3 games even while it doesn't upscale them? Only way I know of to help somewhat help framerates, is turn down the systems resolution and even it barely works.

Wow, call me crazy but I just noticed something. I did everything that list said, and mobile suit gundam crossfire suddenly plays a bit better. I can actually complete missions now, because the games 'playable'. Its not a large jump in performance, but its certainly noticable.

*kindof guessing framerates here* Before hand, crossfire played at an average of 15fps. Though now, it seems to play at around 20-25 fps. I'd consider that to be playable, since thats about what heavenly sword is, but its not a large jump from what it was.

4,500 for that 52'' Bravia. Not to bad. The 70'' costs 32,000, that's insane.
