what's the difference between the Samsung 40" 1080p LCD and the Sony Bravia 46"1080p LCD other than contrast ratio and the size? What is better to view blu-ray movies on in 1080p?
The difference is the refresh rate. The Bravia is 120Hz (twice as much as the Samsung) which means the colors change twice as fast, to make for a sharper, more clean image. 120Hz is one of the newer features on TVs, and it'd better to watch Blu Rays in
thank you, does it mean that bravia is better than samsung? I want to buy a new LCD to enhance my gaming and make it more realistic. any recommendation? should I buy the bravia or the samsung?
Blackburn, we are on the same situation right now. I am confused about which among the two brands should I choose. I am also considering the 52" Samsung right now especially that Alereon already announced a wireless USB extender. Hope someone can give us a straight answer which product and model they are going to recommend.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

thanks
just get a hdmi cable then let yhe system auto detecting vidoe settings. on 360 you might have to switch it to 720 p in the system settings since you had it on a sdtv before you bought your new tv.- Please wait. Quick reply will be available shortly.

can this tv display 1080? sharp lc-19dv22u
do you have a ps3? if so just hook it up to that with a hdmi wire and select auto detect video settings. and the screen will say what ever your max res is. it will come up either 1080 i or 1080 p and if it dont then its only 720 p. if you miss it when it shows you after you first turn on the power just put a movie into the system and hit display on your tv and it will show you again.- Please wait. When I play games on my hdtv I notice certain things are very blocky or fuzzy like loading screens and cut scenes. no problem with actaul gameplay graphics though.
example when bioshock 2 starts up the 2K animation looks blocky as does the final cutscene
also I dont experience this on a regular tv

- Jun 15, 2011 11:44 pm GMTYou can even use it to receive and record cable HDTV programs using only basic cable and NO CABLE BOX. And you can use your monitor or any size HDTV to display your programs, in 5.1 surround sound if you want.
