Im not to much into pop or hip hop, things like that. Apart from Lady Gaga. I love her :)

But I come across random cover songs from groups belonging to a genre I do like and Il like that version much better (obviouly). What about you guys? Do you like a song better in your prefered genres or do you think that the song should just not be played no matter what kind of band/artist covers it?

I love this version of Poker Face :D

Poker Face by Blowsight

Post your favorite covers in different genres?

Poker Face by Psyborg Corps. (and industrial band)

Hong Kong Garden by Uffie (a rapper)

Those are the only ones I can think of right now, and I've yet to hear Uffie's cover of Hong Kong Garden, though I should try her version some time :P

Ooo, that reminds me of another, so I suppose you could add 4 to KoRn's list.

Kidnap The Sandy Claws, originally one of the songs in The Nightmare Before Christmas, they covered it for the Nightmare Revisted Album. I suppose right there with that album you've got a bunch of songs covered in a different genre. :D

I can think of very few covers I like better than the original recordings (apart from AxCx's and Ten Masked Men's music)
