Heard IAMX is set to release a fourth album in spring 2011, name and tracks unknown, however, if you're lucky enough to attend his live show in Prague he will be performing new stuff from the upcoming album.
And, scottish chiptune artist Unicorn Kid released a new single today called Wild Life

British electro/chiptune duo You Love Her Coz She's Dead have revealed that their single to be released at the end of January next year is a song called This Skeleton Dances Like No Other, and is taken from their debut album that is being released next Valentine's day. The only image of the cover of the single is available on the duo's Big Cartel, as the cover will also be printed on shirts.
As well as the track This Skeleton Dances Like No Other, the tracks End Of Days, It Means Nothing and This Is A Raid seem set to appear on their debut album.

I swear it's the year of the box set :P
Dang, Telv, if I could promote you even more than officer, trust me, I would :PraimgamerThanks much my good sir.
I swear it's the year of the box set :P rocketfox129I agree. It's also time to give stuff to people that are tired of seeing the same damn people get stuff like The Beatles, Eagles, MJ, Presley and others.
Yeah, I'd agree it's nice to see it's not the usual suspects that's doing the box sets
Oh, and an update on what I mentioned previously of Robert Smith providing guest vocals for the single version of the track Not In Love by Crystal Castles... well it's not meant to be out til December, but the internets has been generous enough to give us a sneaky peak!
Not In Love (feat. Robert Smith) by Crystal Castles
I'd hope they do a proper music video to this... with him in it... that'd be interesting
You Love Her Coz She's Dead will release the first single from their debut album on 29th November
Sunday Best - You Love Her Coz She's Dead
Sort of a mix of dance and 8-bit, with vocals.
I did post about their upcoming debut album earlier, and it seems slowly they're unveiling what's appearing on the album. If you're interested in giving them a try here's their myspace
Their myspace lists them as a screamo group, but that seems to be a joke :P
I like that it has no name. :D

I'm not a fan of his at all, but I know some on here might dig him.
The obligatory, Beatles release to get money from fans has happened, just in time for Christmas. This time it's the solo dude, Lennon, John that is.
Â
The JOHN LENNON Box Of Vision was conceived by Jonathan Polk, of Boxofvision LLC. "To mark the 70th anniversary of John's birth, we have created something special that we believe his fans will treasure, and we hope they will pass on to their children as a way of helping to preserve the legacy of John's music and ideals for future generations," says Polk. The JOHN LENNON Box Of Vision is being released in conjunction with the John Lennon Time Capsule project, three time capsules which will be sealed on October 9, 2010 to be unsealed in a worldwide ceremony on October 9, 2040.Boxofvision LLC creates and distributes elegant products for fans to store and display the bodies of work of great recording artists, like last year's successful collectible THE BEATLES Box Of Vision, and the upcoming BOB DYLAN "Archive".

I should try Ghotsface Killah some time, I did enjoy his collaboration with MSTRKRFT.
Oh, and an update; You Love Her Coz She's Dead has had their debut album pushed back to August 2011, apparently to do the label changing around the personnel that are working with the duo on the album. To compensate, the duo will release more singles than the initially planned 2 from the album (namely the tracks Sunday Best and This Skeleton Dances Like No Other). The duo also commented that the band have, in the process of making this album recorded around 90 tracks, so that while the debut album has been pushed back, chances are the second album will be out much sooner.

Maybe it is the fashionable thing this season :P
Also, will add a fairly new and upcoming electro house artist who goes by the name Neus (sometimes spelt as NEUS) has stated on facebook he is currently working on an album. He came to attention within the electro house following when he did a remix of SebastiAn's track Motor, which SebastiAn himself personally took a great liking too (it is now one of his favourite things to play live :P), and since has released 2 EPs called Take My Dope and Blast! May possibly see a third before the album. Somewhat in support of this work, he has made available for free download on his facebook profile various remixes he has done before he became noticed plus two original tracks.
And along similar lines, french electro artist Danger, known for his blend of eighties and modern style electro is currently working on his debut and an ep also, with the ep due out shortly before the album. There are some leaked tracks on youtube, though whether they are from the album or ep is unknown, the leaked track names being: 9h20, 12h38, 13h12 and 17h05 (feat. Smacktown)
The Decemberists
January 18, 2011
The King Is Dead, the Decemberists' stripped-down new album, arrives January 18 in North America via Capitol and a day earlier in Europe via Rough Trade. The album will be available in all the usual formats as well as a deluxe limited-edition box set, which will feature the album on CD and 180-gram white vinyl, as well as a DVD, a unique Polaroid photo, a hardcover book, and an art print-- all in a linen-wrapped clamshell box with a foil-stamped cover. It's enough to make a big Decemberists fan scream with delight like he or she's being swallowed by a whale.
Only 2,500 of these boxes will be available. For the box, the band teamed up with the Polaroid film manufacturers the Impossible Project and the photographer Autumn de Wilde. De Wilde took photos of the band's recording sessions in rural Oregon and L.A., and each box will come with a unique photo. The DVD contains Pendarvia, a 30-minute documentary about the making of the album by filmmaker Aaron Rose. The 72-page hardcover book features photos from de Wilde and illustrations from Carson Ellis, and the Giclée print is of an Ellis illustration and signed by Ellis herself.

Christmas Day, The Gorillaz have a new one.
I wasn't sure it was possible for me to be more in love with the Gorillaz this year, then Damon Albarn goes ahead and announces he has recorded a follow up to Plastic Beach on his iPad and will be giving it away for free online on Christmas Day. A giant tour around the world and two full length LP's in a year with one of them given away for free? What a guy… I'm incredibly curious as to what kind of wacky and wonderful music Albarn has come up with on his iPad. Read more about the new album from NME:
Last month Albarn told NME he had recorded the album on tour and that he wanted it out before December 25.
"I wanted to make sure that it came out at the end of the tour because I don't want anyone to think I'd tampered with it," Albarn said. "If I left it until the New Year to release it then the cynics out there would say, 'Oh well, it's been tampered with'. But if I put it out now they'd know that I haven't done anything because I've been on tour ever since."
His Gorillaz partner Jamie Hewlett told Australian newspaper Perth Now: "On Christmas Eve a video for one of the new songs from the iPad album will be released. Then on Christmas Day fans get the whole album downloaded to their computer for free as a gift."

IAMX (i.e. Chris Corner, previously of the now defunct trip hop group Sneaker Pimps) previously stated he was working on his 4th album and debuted some of his new material in a one off show in Prague.
He has lately announced that this new album is named Volatile Times, and is looking roughly at a march 2011, release date. Probable new tracks that were debuted at the Prague show, and so likely to make the final cut of Volatile times are Fire And Whispers, Bernadette, Beautiful Town, Music People and Cold Red Light.
Fire And Whispers would appear to be pretty much guaranteed to appear in Volatile Times as IAMX is also touring in 2011 in support of the album, the tour being named the Fire And Whispers Tour.
There are a number of videos of these tracks being performed in Prague, most of fairly decent quality.
An update on Gorillaz christmas album, apparently it is named 'The Fall'rocketfox129And here is teh track listing:
