Do you think Notre Dame should enter the Big Ten? I do not. I love to see them get a chance to play Michigan, USC, Tennessee, etc. If they did, I think they would crush the Big Ten. The two teams that weould be compitition is Michigan and Ohio (p.s. they have beat Michigan 4 out of 5........uhhh, that was with Bob Davies as coach too). Your thoughts?
Notre Dame has so many rivals outside of the Big Ten so it would be better if they stayed out. They don't need to constantly play against cellar dwellers like Indiana and Illinois ever year when they can play against teams like USC and Pitt.
I don't think they would dominate them. Your "Fighting Irish" have had two good seasons recently but before that they were pretty terrible. The Irish would have trouble with Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Penn State which are all quality teams.

That question actually came up quite a few years ago. Notre Dame has too much tradition and didn't want to be limited to the Big Ten schedule of games, amoung other reasons. (Televison contracts played a big role too) That is why Penn State joined some time ago, Penn State didn't have any problem joining the Big Ten because the Big Ten schedule benifits the Nittany Lions.
I wouldnt want them in the big ten, they already have so many good teams on thier schedule. I like it the way it is seeing them play every year against some of the top teams in the nation is great to watch!

I doubt it. They would have trouble with Michigan (maybe) and Ohio, that is it. The reason they sucked before is Bob Davies. He could not recruit worth a sh&T. We went from top 5 in recruiting to top 100. That is a huge difference.
i hate to admit it, but ND is a very special school. tehy should just keep it independant. what makes them so good is that they take on the big competition. not jus the big ten, even though they play them all the time. its a touch subject to ND fans
