They are proposing 3 more Bowl games. The Congressional Bowl in Washington, D.C, (Navy vs. ACC); The St. Petersburg Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla. (Big East vs. Conference USA); and the Rocky Mountain Bowl in Salt Lake City (Mountain West vs. WAC).

*sigh* That's all we need, more average teams playing in the "post-season".

If ok'd by the NCAA, how many bowl games would we have? Although I think this is going a little overboard with bowl games, but why not give the mid-majors more bowl games? Yeah yeah, the talent in a BCS school that has a .500 record, is most likely more talented than a .500 mid-major school. Just think, those mid-major kids will get cool little goody bags for going to the game, just like the big boys get. Ah, warm feelings all over the place (yeah that sounded gay but who cares I like the mid-majors)

Wow, those queers would go and add even more bowl games. Seriously, I see no point in the postseason anymore. I mean, pathetic 6-6 teams are already making bowl games, what will be next? 5-5 teams or worse? Bowl games were once a privilege, now they mean nothing (in my opinion, same goes for the BCS bowls because those are complete jokes more than half the time, too).

bjvb there would be 35 bowl games.

I don't see why y'all are complaining about more football. If they have the money, why not, it's not like we're getting a tournament anytime soon.

Sure why not. It means more opportunity for a school to get more exposure.

True, but most people do not want to spend time watching two lousy teams battle in an insignificant bowl game.

Ok so there would be 35 bowls, ok that's too many. If you keep it at 32 then you will have 64 teams playing in bowl games. That's about the same amount of teams in any other post season play. Basketball, baseball, hockey, and I am sure most other team sports.

And I noticed nobody said anything about the "Congessional Bowl." Navy vs. ACC. Does that mean Navy gets an automatic bowl game even if they lose every game?

And I can just imagine who would be the title sponsors for thees bowl games

Yeah no ones forcing you to watch the games. Its really for the fans and colleges to be able to still appreciate their team for one more game.

I'm with you. I understand what you two are getting at, geaux and Shiro, but as Espurs is getting at here, why reward a team for having a poor season? Yes, finishing with a winning record is finishing with a winning record, but c'mon. If a team wants the splendor, if they want to get recognition, have a better season.

It's official, two new bowls will be added. Link

The new games are the Congressional Bowl in Washington, D.C., and the St. Petersburg Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla. The subcommittee did nix one bowl, the proposed Rocky Mountain Bowl in Salt Lake City.

I'm talking about how pathetic teams are suddenly allowed the privilege of post-season play. That's why it's a joke.

In my opinion, the only time the NCAAF bowl season is better than March Madness is when the BCS matchups actually turn out to be good ones.

And I'm not even an NCAABB fan...

For me, I love the "Road to OMAHA," then Bowl season (even if i prefer a playoff system), Oklahoma City (softball championship) and then March Madness (hell I think I would take the Frozen Four over the Final Four and I don't even follow college hockey).

Yeah, football is just so much better to watch. I would be content with coming in on the last 2 minutes of a basketball game if I could. I couldn't do that with football.

Baseball playoffs is easily the best system NCAA has, yet they can't manage to fix the rest of their **** :|.
