2008-09 Bowl Challenge Cup

Well, I decided I would also keep track of each conferences record during the bowl season again. I believe that the "Bowl Challenge Cup" is being awarded to the conference with the best record still, if not, oh well. It only has actual conferences, so the independents aren't included. Neither are conferences with less than 3 teams in.

Big Ten: Wisconsin, Northwestern, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State

Con-USA: Memphis, Southern Miss, Rice, Houston, East Carolina, Tulsa

I have Minnesota and Iowa winning, but honestly as sh*tty as Minnesota has been playing lately wouldn't suprise me at all if they lost hence my 1 confidence point on them:P

UT is very distracted with this whole "we got screwed thing". OSU is looking to prove something, this game is very dangerous for UT.

Penn State will get owned imo, no offense spfx. Don't see PSU scoring over 14 points.

I agree with you regarding the Fiesta Bowl. However, I must disagree with you regarding the Rose Bowl. Honestly, I think it will be a close game. Penn State is completely capable of winning that game... in fact, any team is completely capable of defeating the Trojans (as Stanford, UCLA, Oregon St., and Oregon all have recently proven). Furthermore, I am not offended by your statement. On paper, it does appear as though the Trojans will easily have their way with the Nitts. And by the way, I also believe that the Fiesta Bowl will be a close game.

If they don't get put into that game with Texas, then the rest of the teams in the conference don't have to get moved up into a bowl game they most likely have no business being in. I can almost guarantee that if OSU was put into a "second-tier" bowl game, the Big Ten would've probably won 4-5 games this year.
