I wanted a 3D platform starring Yoshi, but this will do.

That would be a great game. Nintendo missed the ball on it for the Wii though, because the pointer would be perfect for Yoshi's tongue.

Exactly what I thinking. And apparently this game is now called Yoshi's Land.. very unoriginal.[QUOTE="GamerofMario1"][QUOTE="game-ster23"]I wanted a 3D platform starring Yoshi, but this will do.

Well Yoshi has had several of his own games where he was at the least the titular character.
Quick rundown of the ones I've played.
Yoshi's Island: Actually didn't play it when it came out on the SNES rather years later as a GBA port and it's impresive even if it shot the whole "Mario's from Brooklyn" backstory to hell.
Yoshi: Was a puzzle game on the NES and GB right after SMW made Yoshi super popular. It was a clever little puzzle game where you had to match up baddies and trap them in eggs to get points.
Yoshi's Cookie: Played both the NES and SNES versions and also a really good puzzle game that involved matching up cookies.
Yoshi's Safari: This one would've made a great VC download if they had simply reprogramed it to use the Wiimote pointer feature as opposed to the Super Scope. Basically it was a Mario themed rail shooter.
Most of the others you're all familiar with. I never played Topsy Turvy or Touch & Go. Also I don't see why the DS Yoshi's Island gets so much hate. I thought it was one of the best DS games I played. But from what I can tell from the few images we got is that this Yoshi Yarn game will be a hybrid of Kirby's Epic Yarn with the gem collecting and Yoshi's Story given baby Mario is nowhere to be seen.
