"The next entry to the Super Smash Bros. franchise is in development. During a recent interview with Nintendo Power, Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has announced that the next game in the series is in "the first step of the development process."

The next Super Smash Bros., which was first revealed last year, is Sakurai's first project that was announced before being in development - this means that "players will be forced to wait even longer than they expect to." The next Super Smash Bros. game will be for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

"We've just taken what you could call the first step of the process. This is the first time I've ever had my next project announced before it's even entered development, and because of that, I fear that players will be forced to wait even longer than they expect to. Please be patient." "

Yeah the next SSB won't be out for a while. There were people who expected a trailer at E3 even though the game has been in development for three months.GamerofMario1

yeah, it was because rummors said they would at least tell some info on the game at E3 :(

Ya but think how awesome it would be to have a portable Smash Bros! Hopefully it's worth the wait, as long as they don't get too crazy about their additions.

That would work, but I think he'll have his limbs to fight more effectively.

I hope they take their time with this, I have yet to seen a good single player story. Sure they are amazingly fun when you have friends over, but it's not really all that great by yourseld fighting CPU's. I think a good single player would make this one really stand out since it's only known for it's multiplayer. Also they really need to think about their characters, I don't want them to get way out of hand and add more unwanted additions (go away Jigglypuff!!)

The final smash moves were cool and all but they occur way too often even on the lowest setting, they can really get cheap when the same guy always gets it. I think it should appear only once a match that way whoever gets it can turn the game around. Hopefully Namco Bandai can help develop a strong single player mode. The SSE wasn't that bad.
