A 7.0 is still considered to be a "good" game on GameSpot's scale. Nobody seems to remember that. :lol:

I always feel like my expectation for game scores are a bit high.

Like even a 7 is pushing it for me, regardless if it is even Gamespot giving that score.

And the verdict?

I also got New Super Mario Bros. 2 (and Kingdom Hearts, finally). I was also tempted to purchase a shiny new purple 3DS, that way I don't have to share with Aidan anymore, but my frugal side kept that from happening.

I'm only on World 1-3, so I can't give very much in the way of a verdict, but I can confirm that it is a lot of fun, and that collecting coins is oddly addictive (even after two stages! :lol: ). My only complaint thus far is the fact that the 3D is very poorly done; when you bump the 3D slider up, it makes everything in the background extremely blurry.

I just felt like sharing. :P 

I've beaten the game yesterday, except a few more secrets and some Star Coins. I must say, after hearing all the criticism about this game, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. There isn't much new in the game, but the Levels are all very well designed, and the Koopaling battles, though mostly easy, were also very enjoyable. ad0234

I have New Super Mario Bros. 2 now and it's a great game. It deserves much higher than a 7/10. I would rate it around a 9/10. I have over 10000 coins already and am on World 5. I love the coin collecting in the game and overall, I feel that it's the best game in the NSMB series.TAMKFan

No minigames? The poker one was so much fun...

Most of level designs are quite tricky in my opinion.

The mega mushroom seems to only show up in levels with a device that lets you throw fireballs into it over and over.

I want to get the packs, but I need more cash. I currently have around 130,000 coins, and I have 5 sparkling crowns in my save file.

Another DLC level pack I want to get in the future is the one with the golden mushrooms. It looks pretty interesting.

There's a free DLC pack out until February, I believe. It racks up a ton of coins. I have around 500,000 coins now.GamerofMario1

I can't remember my grand total off hand (I'll check later) but my Street Pass record with the classic pack is over 15,000. I feel bad for the poor kid who gets my score in a passing.kbaily
