The Donkey Kong series all started as an arcade title, which introduced the mustached plumber. Since then, Donkey Kong titles were mainly platforms on the Nintendo systems. The Donkey Kong Country series was successful with delightful graphics and precise platforming. The series returned last year with Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Nintendo Wii console. My favorite from the series would be Donkey Kong 64 because of the crisp and color 3D graphics and smooth controlling.

Hard to say. Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat and Donkey Kong Country Returns are the only ones I've played in recent years and I like both of those games. It's been so long since I've played the older ones.

I've played "Donkey Kong" on Arcade, N.E.S., Game Boy, & E-Reader; "Donkey Kong Jr." on Arcade, N.E.S., & E-Reader; "Donkey Kong Country" on Super N.E.S., Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, & Nintendo Wii Virtual Console; "Donkey Kong Land II" on Game Boy; Donkey Kong Country II" on Super N.E.S., Game Boy Advance, & Nintendo Wii Virtual Console; "Diddy Kong Racing" on the N64; "Donkey Kong 64" on the N64; & "Donkey Kong Country III" on the Game Boy Advance. Out of all of those, I've technically only gotten a perfect score on "Donkey Kong Land II, Donkey Kong Country II," & "Donkey Kong Country III." My most enjoyable experience has got to be "Donkey Kong Country II," that's the best game in the series that I have played so far. :D Enough said! ;)

Yes I did but I played it before in an arcade.
That's pretty neat.
Nothing special though. Just using a rusty arcade stick instead of a clean circle pad on a Nintendo 3DS handheld. :P

Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time both received a 10 on this site for example. Gamespot seems to have a soft spot for Nintendo titles.

I also love the original version better than the re-make, because you could play as Banjo OR Conker. :D You can't do that in the re-make (unless you're a video game hacker.) :( Personally, I always felt more comfortable driving the hovercraft, it had the best aspects of both regular driving and airplane flying. :idea: Enough said! ;)
