but note that they cant find the corpse...something fishy's going on with that.

also...ichigo half quincy. -_- I saw that one comming a mile away, I always did say that his mother must have been something special given the things that kept happening, such as her soul temporarilly overpowering grand fisher in that one scene, aizen's comment about his heritage. I mean, come on, ichigo cant be the first ever natural born shinigami...who was born from a shinigami. thats not even logical. now, first ever shinigami-quincy cross-breed? Now *that* I can get behind. Plus, there needs to actually be a *reason* he has so much power, and a *reason* why it develops in its unique way. it shouldnt just "happen" for reasons like "just because..."...so I like that he was actually given a valid reason for being unique.

That said, kubo's going to have fun now trying to keep him from becomming a "mary sue" character...if he masters any form of kidoh or quincy bows or stuff like that, it will put the final nail in the coffin for this...unless he creates some inherent problem. (orihime gets away with that godlike ability because her personality warps its usage.)

last but not least, speaking of aizen...what the leader said is pure speculation, but aizen...actually helping soul society...kisuke, I have to say, your previous predictions here might have actually been right, I gotta admit, this certainly adds some merit to what you said. aizen was up to something, perhaps more than he was telling. remember when byakuya allowed himself to look like a traitor in that one side-arc? (yes it was alt-uni....) perhaps that was also supposed to drop clues. what if aizen was doing something like that for a reason. or preparing SS for what was to come...some stories in other mediums have done something simmilar before I cant see why kubo couldnt be doing that...a character goes villain in order to present a smaller, more controlled threat, to wake up a faction's military from its reduced training and weakness brought on by a long peace time...in preparation for an enemy they knew was comming. what if thats what aizen was doing? O_o

Well Juha Bach appeared to destroy the old man's body in one panel, so I'm not finding a lack of a body suspicious (although this is Kubo, so I suppose anything's possible)

However, you know Aizen's gonna come back as a major character, unless there were plans to use him later, he should have been executed for what he did :P

I wonder what squads the others were previously captain of... and if five captains can outmatch the entire Gotei 13... why wasn't Urahara called in? :lol: Unless he was and turned it down :P

You forgot about the point that Urahara didn't like the way they were running the joint. He knows what they are like. Same for Aizen meaning the Soul King. I think whatever they know, it isn't good.

That's true.

A friend of mine suggested the idea that Urahara was the original Soul King but got overthrown by somebody else, whom now is pretty much awful at what they're doing, hence Aizen wanting to take over for what was hinted to be, at times, more benevolent reasons than his methods would suggest. :P

Ok. To sum it up.

We see were Nemu got her looks from. Plus we know the history between Mayuri and her. Unohana was about to apecrazy on the guy. She isn't for healing which explains Kubo comment about Unohana. Plus her name. Retsu = Death. So ......... She about to slaughter people in the future.

I hope that Isshin and Kisuke because Kisuke can visit Aizen.

1. We don't know how they knew each other. Makes me think why he modeled Nemu after her. Not that I'm complaining.

That Unohana will fight.

She knows Mayuri either by after Kisuke leaving or before Mayuri got lock up in Maggot Nest. Thats the theory.

Ok. To sum it up.

Not just that, but with her background and all, I'm betting she's the new head captain, or at least acting head captain, after all she was the second oldest and second most powerful after the Old Man... though a nice balance that she seems to have been with/under and very Yakuza kinda guy :P

And have to say their exact desires for Ichigo was mildly unexpected.

He is showing more of a leader side... and his stats put him just behind Unohana as I recall

Though I know what you mean about her being creepy, maybe she knows something that she's not quite letting on, or maybe this Royal Guard is coming close to showing her true nature :P

Yeah I figured as much, since if yuo take the purely Gotei era, it's been mentioned that her and the old man were the only remaining original captains.

Does Retsu mean death? I'd thought the connection was because 4 is either an unlucky number in Japan or that the word for 4 and death sound the same?
