John de Lancie and season 3 speculation

Now, this thread could just be the work of some elaborate troll, so make of this what you will.

Reading through a lot of the posts, it does get me thinking a bit, particularly about the book that Luna had in episode 2, which undoubtedly (probably) has Starswirl's cutie mark on the cover. Though of course, it's still yet unknown what part it might play later on.

Anyway, I just thought this was interesting.

Well, we do know that Discord is returning. And those all sound pretty in character for him. It would fall in line with all the foreshadowing about Twilight's 'destiny' we've been getting too. meetroid8

I guess there's also this line from the first episode.

"I have every confidence you will succeed. And when you do, I'll know you are ready to move on to the next level of your studies."

So it's clear that she's going to have some sort of tutor. The only question is, who... Celestia herself, or...

It would move the plot forward, provide opportunity to develop her character, provide opportunity for new episode ideas, keep the show from becoming stale. I doubt it will happen, but there are a lot of points to her becoming one.
