Has A Video Game Ever Made You Cry?

There's no denying it, games can have good, great and sometimes even magnificent stories, proving that movies aren't the only moving pictures that can portray a sense of emotion. So I'm wondering if any game has ever impacted your emotions, in any sort of way. Be it through the medium of nostalgia, or through the story they've told, and anything in between.

At the very most, I think a game has had me choke up. Mostly older games when viewing them again through nostalgia and listening to there soundtracks. But also sometimes through the story told by the more recent games.

Yep, I'm pretty sure LBA2 made me shed a tear. For me it is the musical accompaniment that helps push it that bit further.

MGS3 and MGS4 were manly tears. 

Right now, I can only think of 3: Resident Evil: Code Veronica (Steve's Death), Gears of War 3 (Dom's Death), and Mass Effect 2 (a lot of things, but most notable Shepard's death, if you fail).

I played and beat that game like 15 times.

I really didn't like that game, in any aspect. But it's cool if you do. Better to enjoy something and get deeply into it than to not like it at all. :oops:

When Tali admitted to liking Shepard on ME 2 was the last time I choked up at a game.

I was actually thinking "Wow, what a lame ending to a great game." and was shocked to see people praise the ending as the best part! :shock:

I tear up towards the end of Okami evry time I play it, and I can't listen to this track without tearing up either. But tears have never actually dropped.

I'm the sort of person who usually just sees things in the moment as they currently are. So specific scenes from movies, games, animation, etc (as well as music) can often effect me in a pretty big way.

What can I say, I'm a big softie :P

The only ones I can think of is OKami and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of the Sky. Other then that can I can't think of anything.

I still think that that scene, and those that followed triggered a lot of sadness despite the non-serious nature of the game in general. I'd say it's a pretty impressive achievement for a gory shoot em up.

Anyway, for me, MGS4 definitely did, Gears 3 did, may have gotten a little watery in gears 2.

Maybe halo reach, although it's been years since I played that I can't even remember if it's what I'm thinking of.

Also, If we're talking about tears of rage, then call of duty multiplayer has made me cry.
