Actually , i would rather put it this way.

World in FFT: FFT's Ivalice

World in FFXII: FFXII's Ivalice

They are different. In all aspects.. d-i-f-f-e-r-e-n-t.

Perhaps... FFTA's Ivalice has the same races as in FFXII's races. Maybe a different era.

FFT's Ivalice has different locations from FFXII's , so FFT's World is definitely different from FFXII's world.

See the problem of having too many worlds with the same name?! Can't they think of other creative names, rearrange the alphabets, whatever, a similar name just cause more doubts.

But, for a world that has the same races as FFTA's world has, it'll be strange to give FFXII's world a totally different name. :wink:

i think a series like Final Fantasy is called a series because they have similar things, like chocobos and stuff.. :D

But, having the same world is just not creative enough.. maybe i'm asing too much. :D lol

I guess you are right to a point. But when this game changed so many things we take for granted, like every summon and the away you encounter enemies, I think tying it to something somewhat familiar is not so bad.

I don't know, I think since FFVI really every FF has pushed the game in a new direction. I mean FFIX pushed in back toward it's roots, but even then. I think FFXI was the biggest push away, and I feel like part of the reason FFXII uses the combat system it does is as a lure to want to play FFXI. I know that sounds alittle crazy, but it is very possible. Get you used to only controlling that one person while the others do there thing.TheOdinson

i would like if i didnt have to move the characters when fighting. its just such a big step.

you can choose not to move the characters, they will move towards the enemies themselves. :)

It's indeed disturbing to have many new things in FFXII, many fans were complaining about that. lol. But, every FF is different, i mean, the battle systems keep evolving, the camera and gameplay options keep changng so as to suit the gamers, and all sorts of stuff. It isn't really bad to have something different in every FF, eventually, people will get used to it. Maybe, some new battle system is gonna come out during FFXV or FFXVI, it isn't too far off, you can tell. And people will start to miss FFXII's battle system. It's always this way, we miss the old things present in older FFs, and yet, we want new things! lol
