Oh joy.. so they've learned nothing from X-2 or the XIII Sequels... awesome. My desire to buy this game just went down the toilet, how about you guys? More cash grabbing for the win.

Just make one stand alone game and move on to the next seriously. Have they not learned yet f***.

They have to now because of the way AAA titles work. Almost all game series have to be marketed as a trilogy because the first game causes them to lose money, the second makes them break even, and the third FINALLY makes them profit... it's really stupid and they need to rework their business model from the ground up.

FFXIII LR is going to fail their expectations. It also doesn't help that the JRPG market isn't what it used to be.

It's true x.x but honestly I just feel that the gaming market as a whole isn't what it used to be... ther ehas been a huge decline and that's why the gaming industry is going the way it is.

Even then.. the cost of making games compared to how much they make is a LOT broader than it used to be and honestly that just screws up the entire business model and really discourages creativity.

Only alternative I could think of to reduce cost is to release games on hand helds or weaker systems.

Because fans are more likely to be tricked into buying the games that way... in fact it's the only way the games will sell at all.
