Sima Yi attacked Shu and Zhuge Liang died because of sickness, Shu lost

Sima Yi attacked Wu and Wu's king- Sun Hao gave up

Nope.

Zhuge Liang died on campaign before the Battle of Wu Zhang plains, if I remember correctly. At this time, the Emperor had abdicated to Cao Pi, establishing the Wei Dynasty. After Sima Yi died, his sons forced the Wei emperor to abdicate, founding the Sima dynasty. Shu was weak and defenseless at this point, with weak leadership, and was quickly assimilated. Wu submitted before war began.

not before, its when the battle of Wu Zhang is happening

for the Sima Yi thing, I think you're right

But Shu lost, the king (or emperor) gave up, and there's a story about he was very happy in wei and forgot about shu

When Wu would be attacked by Wei (maybe a few minutes before the fight begins), Wu's emperor, Sun Hao submitted

The last part is wrong, there was no Wei at the point it was usurped, it was then Jin.  It defeated Shu and Wu submitted, thus founding the Western Jin Dynasty.

The book I read stated Zhuge died just before the battle of Wu Zhang in the midst of praying for his life. Ma Chao ran into his tent to alert him of the coming troops and knocked over one of the sacred candles, causing Zhuge to fall sick soon after the battle began.  Jiang Wei promptly took over as tactician.

I thought that it was Wei Yan who knocked over the candle, and later defected at Wu Zhang. I guess there's two different versions.

No, Ma Chao was dead by this time.  It was definantly Wei Yan who knocked over the candles.

Zhuge Liang saw a sign in the heavens that showed his death was near, so he performed a special ceremony to prolong his life, which involved several lamps/candles. When the prayer was almost over, Wei Yan rushed in and accidentally toppled one of the candles needed for the ceremony. He later defected to Wei at Wu Zhang.

I didn't think Wei Yan actually defected, but was angered and attacked on his lonesome.

That may be so. All I know is that Wei Yan turned on Shu, but Jiang Wei had predicted it and dispatched him relatively easily.

Fall of Shu timeline

1.Shu fails to return the Jing Province

2.Guan Yu is out numbered by the Wu soldiers

3.Zhang Fei is killed later that same battle

4.Liu Bei dies in a meaningless battle

5.Wei Yan knocks down a candel killing Zhuge Liang

6.Liu Chan is weak and submits

Liu Bei doesn't die in battle, but he suffers a catastrophic defeat at the hands of Lu Xun. Also, the candle didn't kill Zhuge on the spot- Zhuge saw in the stars that his death was near, and the ceremony was to prolong his life for a little while, so Wei Yan didn't really kill him- he just prevented him from living beyond his preordained time.

EDIT: Also, Guan Yu lost because he was wedged between Wei-held Fan castle, the Wei relief force, and a vast Wu army. He had a very sizeable force at his disposal, but was surrounded at all sides. Also, he wasn't a very good general.

wow almost every single i read from u on this topic has sumthin wrong in it. wei yan defecting.... and jiang wei killing him? i thought it was ma dai that killed him. guan yu is pretty overrated as a general but "he wasn't a very good general" isn't a description i would give him...

edit: if this offends anyone in anyway sry. and if im wrong.... ahhhhhhh :?

*Puts on welding mask, grabs Flamethrower*

It's true. As a general, Guan Yu wasn't very good. He was a very honorable, righteous man, but he wasn't a strong leader. Even his combat skills may well be hyped up- his most famous achievement, slaying Yan Liang, was simply because Red Hare's speed didn't give Yan time enough to draw his sword, much less fight Guan off. His actions also led, indirectly, to the deaths of his brothers, and consequently the collapse of Shu.

Besides, he said himself that Zhang Fei was the greater warrior

And I never said that Jiang Wei himself killed him. I said that Wei predicted Yan's revolt and took measures to ensure that he was unsuccessful.

Zhang Fei wanted to take revenge for Guan Yu and put a lot of pressure on 'his own men', so two of them killed him and cut his head off, then show it to the Wu's Emperor

Lu Meng did his job, simple as that. Honestly, I think Guan Yu should have killed Lu Xun- he was the man in charge of the operation (Lu Meng was just the mastermind), and Xun's death would've done a lot more good for Shu. Lu Meng was old and ailing at that point anyway, but Lu Xun wasn't even at the height of his powers.

he was killed dishonorably. Zhang Fei learned of Guan Yu's death and decided to take action...that night there was a mutiny and they killed him....shame...
