as for the director's voice - that was overdubbed and translated. the director doesn't actually speak english as you can tell when he says goodbye at the end.

second i'm sure it wasn't his first interview for the day. DW is still very popular in Asia.

i'm sort of concerned with the interchangable weapons. i'm kinda hoping it's not 100% interchangable on all fronts and specs. because if it is then you really only ever need to play with one character. or another way of saying it is that if you've played with one character then you've played with them all. certainly certain scenarios will only be open to certain characters, but big whoop.

Yeah what's up with that? Kinda takes away each character's uniqueness. Whatever, I won't be using that feature... unless I'm down to one sliver of life left, then I'll pull out Lu Bu's weapon ;).

Is there not a single person on this planet that likes Dynasty Warriors (or is even remotely interested in the game) they could get to translate?

I mean good god. I love DW but I nearly fell asleep listening to him talk. 

well i am learning mandarin chinese. for example, yuan shao means little yuan. good huh?! 

and sifu means teacher! unfortunately the makers of DW7 are all Japanese!!

i was thinking the intro was a little more in the realm of complete insanity. i mean... geeeesh

also you notice how serious the voice acting sounds in Japanese versus English in the Liu Bei scenario?

i've got a feeling that none of this stuff is static. so these links and videos prolly change a lot.

also, i can see what Steel was talking about with Iron Monkey. the scene he posted earlier was left in the movie. they just cut out lots of tiny segments from the scene. like you don't actually see the boy getting whipped. also, when the alpha villain slams his foot on the boys chest they cut the blood coming from the kid's mouth. and they also don't show the guy's head getting lopped off. 

also, the english over dub for the police captain has to be the same guy who does Zhang Fei's voice in DW4 and DW5. also, the Iron Monkey's voice had to have been overdubbed by the same voice actor who does Cao Cao in DW4 and DW5. it sounds just like him whenever he's in Iron Monkey character!

My favorite scene in Iron Monkey is early on when the doctor is handing out prescriptions at his shop, and nearby someone tries to bribe his police chief friend:

Sleazy dude:  Chief, let me pay you.

Chief:  What!?  Dont try to bribe me (in the open)!!  Arrest him!!

(chief delivers two solid blows to the abdomen of sleazy dude, which sound like they break every bone in the guys body though he barely reacts to them.  Sleazy dude gets taken away.)

Anyway, that's about how it goes on the US DVD version, the original English dub isn't quite as entertaining.

i saw the same one you saw. 

my favorite part is when disguised as the Empirial Inspector the Iron monkey has the same character, Chief Fox, lash the governor. it's just the way chief Fox is like, "Sorry, Governor, but I have to. It's an order." or whatever.

my wife says she thinks Iron Monkey is now her favorite Martial Arts movie.
